This album is utterly awful. When music snobs put down OC ReMix with hyperbole about how electronic musicians suck and can't make good music, they're actually describing something like this album. Most of these tracks wouldn't have stood a chance on OC ReMix even in 1999 when the site started.
It's almost a running gag how many times the tracks are either too empty (or too cluttered), victims of poor mixing and balance, using default-level synths and processing, and featuring wrong notes and clashing harmonies of all kinds.
The only reasons I gave this half a star were because it was the lowest possible score and track 10 was listenable. Everything here lacked competence and musicality. Effort and what I'm sure is a genuine appreciation for the original music don't automatically result in well-made fan work.
Disastrous.
