Uhm, isn't this the same as with all the albums by Duncan McPherson? Supposed to be 'game music', but in reality original work that has no connection to any real (released!) game.

Opinions?

I'm in two minds about these sorts of entries. On the one hand, if albums like this are allowed then a line has to be drawn somewhere, otherwise the flood gates are opened to all sorts of original albums with music and personel not directly connected to game music. It'd be kind of like the demo scene category - at what point does chipmusic stop being chipmusic? It's vague.

On the other hand, an album like this has arguably got more relevance to video game music culture than for example something like this, which is listed only because of the artist. I like the idea of listing both, but I think visitors are more likely to be interested in these kinds of albums. I mean, we can all plainly see that it's VGM related, but there's nothing concrete to substantiate it.

The only relation to videogame with this album is that it sounds really like the firsts sonic games (as explained in the notes by the artist).

I do think Music "inspired by" could have it's place here but under certain conditions.

Maybe if this kind of albums were physically released, we would certainly not complain as much..
It's just too easy to post a digital album for free to make self-promotion.
