I'm not clear as to why the platform represented is the Playstation. The seller I bought it from on YJA stated this CD has music based on the FM Towns version. Plus, I can see "FM Towns" printed at various places in the notes, and on the obi.
Here's the wikipedia page, which does not indicate the Playstation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_D...d_Line_Service |

This entry hasn't been edited since 2006, and to be quite honest, we misidentified a bunch of systems back in the old days. Arcade games classified as console games especially.
Thanks for the Power Dolls corrections! |

A lot of information about vgm albums was indeed obscure back in the old days. I forgive you. |

I just picked up... a Chinese version of this album. Thing is, I don't know if it's bootleg or not!
The back cover says "Registered And Manufactured License By Hwaei Internation Liability Co. Ltd." and it has an address in Chinese, so I can't read it. The liner notes on page 5 and 6 of the booklet have been translated to Chinese, too. They also give proper credit to NEC Avenue in the inner booklet and disc! That's what's throwing me off, I've never seen a VGM bootleg that keeps the original label credits... And the disc still has NEC Avenue's label logo. There was no obi included, it was just the disc in the case, but I'm sure this had an obi at one point. Google isn't helping me out here. I can't find any information on this company. Edit: Wikipedia claims that this game was published - legally - in Taiwan by Hwaei. So is this a legitimate release? Last edited by Foxhack; Feb 4, 2014 at 01:30 PM. |

This didn't include the obi, so there's no barcode.
I found this MobyGames entry on the company. Which makes this release 100% legit. Now, how it was distributed... I have no idea. It might've been included or just sold standalone. I'm gonna try pinging Oleg (the guy that single-handedly added a ton of Chinese game releases to MG) to see if he knows anything about them. |

Well he never got back to me so I added a child entry anyway. The Chinese title is from the spine. The release date is from the back, it says "1995 / 8" with the Kanji for year and month.

Power Dolls 2 appeared on Playstation in 1997. While the rest of the Power Dolls series appeared on PC MS-DOS/V, PC-98x and eventually Windows. I believe the songs found on NACL-1170 actually represent the PCFX iteration of PD1.
