I would leave the catalog number as WM-0620-623 as that's how it reads on the spine of the album. If I was to search for this, would it come up if I typed WM-0620-623 given that it has been changed to WM-0620~3?

Arcubalis, I changed the catalog number based on the Wave Master standard and this VGMdb statement: "Don't repeat a number after the tilde (e.g. VICL-1356~7, not VICL-1356~57)."
But actually I don't know how to write the catalog number now after you said. |

Let's Go Away! -SegaMoba |

It should be noted that Wave Master is not consistent with how they write their own catalogue numbers.
For example: Golden Axe The Music is WM-0595~0597 AFTER BURNER 20th Anniversary Box is WM-0581~86 MONSTER WORLD COMPLETE COLLECTION ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK is WM-0565~6 I'd recommend we follow the standard of only having changed numbers after the tilde. We could change the policy so that we follow what's written on the obi, but keep in mind that if we do so, we'd have to be consistent across all entries in our database. This means going over all previous entries to account for variations such as the ones I've listed. (Another possible solution is to have an optional "catalog variation" field, like how artist name variations are handled) |

Luckily I still have AcidBeast's tags available, and this is how she tagged it. I don't know where she got the information from, but as far as I'm concerned AcidBeast was pretty accurate when she was around (unfortunately she doesn't seem to be around anymore). Anyhow...
I should probably note that it seems like she tagged files only by the arranger if the track is an arrangement. For example track 1 on disc 1 wasn't composed by Chihiro Aoki, but was arranged by her, thus only tagged with her name. Last edited by Nisto; Nov 21, 2010 at 05:49 PM. |

There are some pending changes, but they are a bit hard to verify with so many tracks and roooolling staaaart arranges. Hopefully somebody could clarify a bit more which ones are credited, implied, reprises, from which albums, etc.
JASRAC has additional credits (write "Daytona" in the second row) which could be useful to verify, though i don't know if they always apply. Ex.- JASRAC says "SPEED FRIEND-Race" from "Daytona USA 2000" is by Naofumi Hataya. I guess it's the same as 4.19? (from "Daytona USA 2001 for Dreamcast" according to the notes) (btw, JASRAC usually doesn't specify roles, so it may say "composer" for an arranger). |

Quote:
*The Name Entry tracks are the only ones that haven't been properly done, otherwise you'd be seeing six more composers in the respective field. Daytona USA (Saturn) --> Also done by Mitsuyoshi * Again, the Name Entry tracks have not yet been properly handled Daytona USA (Dreamcast [under Daytona USA 2001) --> Just gave the same composition information. I know nothing of the Dreamcast sound (namely, what Naganuma and Sugiyama did). Daytona USA Circuit Edition --> Here (http://vgmdb.net/album/2879) Daytona USA 2 --> I only put whatever was in the booklet. More information can be gotten from here (http://vgmdb.net/album/2878) whenever scans come up. Daytona USA 2001 --> Again, I know nothing except about what Naganuma and Sugiyama did. Composition credit goes to Mitsuyoshi where applicable in the same manner as in Daytona USA Circuit Edition Last edited by kyubihanyou; Apr 16, 2011 at 01:21 PM. |

Here's some of the participating musicians on Daytona USA 2001 for Dreamcast.
Musician: Soul Toul, Masaharu Haruna, Norio Sakai, George Kamata. Soul Toul (drums), Masaharu (Shoji) Haruna (sax), Norio Sakai, George Kamata (guitar). Masaharu Haruna is from a pop-jazz/horn band called BACCHUS. Last edited by XISMZERO; Mar 4, 2015 at 12:58 PM. |

Boy, it's not easy being a Naganuma obsessive. XD
So, by ear or otherwise... Like by the staff roll or whatever, what track(s) did he compose, yo? |

Naganuma was only responsible for sound effects. The game is not listed among his works on his Soundcloud page.

According to this tweet, Naganuma did NO compositions, not even the Game Over jingle (which sounds a LOT like his JRSF/Ollie King works). I'm guessing he's only credited for composition on this box due to sound effects possibly being classed as compositions.

So why does this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrZIXAAdnZo have an awesome 5 min version of Skyscraper Sequence while the CDs version is only 1:48? Seems like the CD version is truncated..

The longer tracks seem to be from this soundtrack: https://vgmdb.net/album/2878
The ones on this disc appear to be shorter looping versions from the actual games. |

Considering the similarities between "Gentlemen Start Your Engines" and "Menu - Select", from Daytona USA Circuit Edition, I am more than convinced Tomonori Sawada also did Menu - Select.
