Well, it's technically a classical release, and those tend to have names in whatever language the piece was titled in. Don't forget Japanese (Hamauzu's tracks).

Among the composers, there are two from France, one from Brazil, one from Argentina, one from Poland, two from the US, two(?) from Germany, and one from Japan. That's four of the seven continents.

Balakirev wrote Islamey, and his name is on the cover, but not on the list I gave.

The Dance Ghazal op. 37a was by Alan Hovhaness.

So, this deserves VGMdb entry only because of Hamauzu's three tracks? (And no, I don't want to sound like an a**hole, asking only to learn more about the criteria, that's all).

Yep. That's the only reason. Even if he had only one track on here, it would merit an entry, because he's an artist primarily associated with VGM.

I didn't know that (The 1 track deal), but that's really useful to know. Is this universal to all composers/musicians, or to those closely tied to VGM?

@Efendija
This album on here did strike me as odd until I saw the last couple of tracks

Just chiming in to say jeez, Benyamin Nuss's album covers really do feature the worst art...

It's marginally better than the last one, at least.

It's supposed to be those closely connected to game or anime only, but it's subjective and I'm pretty sure we had several nearly black submissions.

So this mean that the current notes are wrong?

Quote:
Danzas Argentinas, Op.2 (1937) by Alberto Ginastera (6~8)
Roman Sketches, Op.7 by Charles Tomlinson Griffes (9~11)
Le Tour Du Monde En Miniature (1933) by Alexandre Tansman (12)
While this here confirms that the Clouds tracks (9) is part of Roman Sketches, the rest doesn't seem to be.

Or am I missing something here? I've got no real background in classical music..
