I am missing the credit for the original composition of the game "Tron" (arcade game - 1980).
Oh, and i am not sure if the CD version is also licensed by loudr. Last edited by Myrkul; Feb 13, 2014 at 04:47 PM. |

PDF booklet has it as W. Carlos, so Wendy Carlos it is.

Is the composer breakdown going to be added later? The usual thing that helps your average visitor without assuming he/she knows it all, like
Laura Shigihara (01) .... .... Michael Land (09) .... Mike Morasky (12) .... .... Koji Kondo (17) |

Credits added.
I am not 100% sure if track 11 is by Dren McDonald (it's probably an original work song?). |

hmm, we'r not agree at all with the credits for Altered Beast.
If i am right we usually credit "Master" (Tohru Nakabayashi) for it... I don't see who they can be, K. Nagai is certainly Kazuhiko Nagai, but no idea for the others. |

Nagai did the Genesis port (slightly different arrangements of the original, but nothing new) no idea who Sofuto and Yori are. "/

I did drop a question about the composers to Dren McDonald, so let's hope that will clear who those two are.

hi - to help with what info I can:
track 11: yes, that one is mine, original composition. it was the first string quartet piece that I put together in a style that I was happy with, and used it as a bit of a blueprint for the other arrangements. it does not appear in a game (at least not yet...) for Altered Beast, that is the list of composers that Loudr found in their database, so that's what I used. For Ecco, I contacted Spencer Nilson directly, as he's local, and sent him all of the original pieces that we covered, along with our version. He didn't know the other composers that were listed, but also didn't remember writing any of the pieces that we covered. With the uncertainty of the situation, and no official source, we just put all of the names. I know that Spencer did the Sega CD soundtrack, but I'm not sure who is responsible for the Sega Drive music (at least the pieces that we covered). That probably doesn't clear things up really well, but that's all of the info that I was able to get a hold of. |

Why are Laura Shigihara, Ben Prunty, and Steve Kirk not featured like everyone else except Dren McDonald? I thought it was just a mistake, but it was done on the physical release too.

If i do take that original post back in 2008:
" Featured work refers to derivative albums (particularly doujins) that include arranged or remixed tracks without the involvement of the original composer. " For example Ben Prunty was actively participating to that album. He also gave his full consentment in person. While the others artists were not contacted and the songs were probably legally lisenced contacting the rights/copyrights holders (nintendo for zelda as an example). Let me know if i am wrong. |
