Arrow 2013 Spring Anime Composers List

Compiled only TV anime series (27), OVA and movies will come later.

Here is table:
http://animescorenews.blogspot.sk/20...me-spring.html

I hope for some help because there is lot of unknown composer names - even lot of official sites doesn´t contain complete staff list yet.

Iwashiro, Hamaguchi, Sawano and Otani are good names and I am curious what will be other names.

All the best and thanks
Porter

I posted in the other thread that Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge sounds like Takanashi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-wg9dM8adQ

He actually isn't scoring the new Precure series so he shouldn't be busy right now.

Looking forward to Iwashiro's score for Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. The bits from the PV sound very promising to me.

I am also glad that there will be new Tatsuya Kato score for HYAKKA RYOURAN: SAMURAI BRIDE anime series.
He really can compose lot of music....lot of great music. Almost half of his score albums are 2CD´s.

And it seems that Shiro Hamaguchi has some good run - this is his 5th anime season in row with scoring duties.
I hope there will be also score album for Karneval.

Kaguya-hime no Monogatari is actually delayed until Fall. I assume the delay is what allowed them to get Hisiashi as the composer (replacing Ikebe). So Hisaishi is doing the scores for both Ghibli films this year, one of which is directed by Miyazaki.

Also, Sakasama no Patema will probably come out Spring-Summer this year, which means we'd be getting three Michiru Oshima film soundtracks during that time frame.

Good stuff.

I think that Michiru Oshima has some very "dangerous material" for discovering.
I was just making new order and was undecided between last Berserk by Sagisu, Saint Seiya vol. 2 by Sahashi, Kaidan Restaurant by Takaki, Xenosaga by Yamashita and Tetsuwan Birdy Decode 02 by Kanno and then under spell of music from Civilization Blaster I check samples from 2 latest Mishima scores and found Fuse Teppou Musume no Torimonochou OST and decision was instantly made. Oshima has some interesting talent for pretty detailed almost classical orchestration...I am really afraid to hear samples from her other scores...

The official website for Aku no Hana has updated and the composer is Hideyuki Fukasawa. That's a welcome surprise.

Didn't know that. That's also surprising considering her last TV anime soundtrack was in 2007. I'll be looking forward to this one.

This is looking to be a pretty good season even with quite a few composers still unannounced.

Cedille and Nextday thank you for help - new composers added to table.
Yes this looks like good season.

Ken Muramatsu is doing the music for the children's anime Boku wa Ousama (which airs in April).

It just keeps getting better.

Edit: Oh yeah, not series composer related but still sort of on topic: it looks like Revo is producing both the OP and ED for Shingeki no Kyojin. Should be good.

This is great: Kashiwa Daisuke is doing the soundtrack for Makoto Shinkai's new film Kotonoha no Niwa (out May 31). I was wondering if him or world's end girlfriend would ever do an anime soundtrack.

Toshiyuki Watanabe announced as the composer for Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince. 5 orchestral samples available here (sounds nice): http://www.mjp-anime.jp/13music/index.html#update

In other news Koutetsu no Vandetta, an OVA series that has been delayed since 2011, had it's first episode premiered on Nicovideo today. The music is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Good news: Yasuharu Takanashi is now confirmed for Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge. He was also confirmed for Goro Taniguchi's original TV anime Fantasista Doll (airs this summer).

I think it's good that he was "freed" from scoring both Fairy Tail and Precure. Also I didn't enjoy these at all. Hopefully we're going to see something along the line of Shiki / Jigoku-Shoujo (or also Toward the Terra) again in the future.

Fairy Tail ended today with a "to be continued" message so it's only a temporary freedom I suppose (I'd guess there will be another movie eventually too). I don't dislike his work on Fairy Tail or Precure but his horror soundtracks (Shiki/Mononoke/Jigoku-Shoujo) are on another level. That side of Takanashi makes him one of my favorite anime composers.

I like what I hear in the PV for Crime Edge, but for Fantasista Doll we'll probably be getting Precure-style Takanashi.

Ah i just watched Dansai Bunri and i KNEW it was Takanashi. He has such a distinct style that separates him from the rest. I'm glad to see he's moved on from precure. I feel like the series constricted him a bit to much.
