The music in this cd was never famous with the movie. It is wrong to assume that. The music was released very earlier then the movie and it was for the SEGA CD Version of Mortal Kombat.
Music was later used in the movie for fan issues. If you listen well the song, the characters they are summoned in it are the characters of the first game, an none of other characters of the movies are here.
It was later done FOR the movie itself, "Mortal Kombat Annihilation", summoning all relevant characters shown in the movie.

The Techno Syndrome theme (not the Annihilation upgrade version on the second movie) was used in the first movie like intro and final Liu Kang vs. Shang Tsung battle theme. I was never familiar with the MK Sega CD version, anyway the Techno Syndrome represents also the first movie itself also if this was released earlier for the Sega CD version.
So I think this album and also the "MK The Album" may be classified as medley Game/Movie soundtrack.... or we can simple add on the note list that the TECHNO-SYNDROME 7" MIX was released also the FIRST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK of the movie later.

what? MK The Album, medley game/movie soundtrack?
why you want to give that kind of info when that is not the actual truth. "Techno Syndrome" was re-used on the frst movie for the sake of the fans. End of story.
MK The Album is an arrangement album based on the first game, how come you want it to be Game/Movie soundtrack, when it is not in reality?
if everyone start to put stuff here the way theywant and not caring for what is really official like in this case, then this would be the most stupid site and with errors and lies in everything.
So I dont agree with anything you said.
My first post here is already explicit in those therms. And there is not "Techno Syndrome" upgraded in Annihilation. That one is called "Encounter The Ultimate". Should to straight things up.

You probably misunderstand me. I was talking about the presence of the Techno Syndrome track on this album and on the "MK The Album". If this track was reused for the movie indeed it was also on the movie soundtrack album, it represent also the movie. Obviously the priority representation of this and the MK album is the Sega CD soundtrack, but anyway in a little bit part it represent also the movie. So I've suggest to put a little note on this....
