Very bare submission, hope that someone with more knowledge of the right submission forms could help here. But yeah, it seems that Capcom liked the "Rockman *anything* Soundtrack BOX" thing, haha.

I'm interested. Speaking as someone who loves the rockman and rockman x sets that came out in the early 2000's, how does the music in this series fare? I know a lot of these came out on GBA, which has terrible sound quality. Any thoughts/opinions?

I'm interested if it includes Chip Challenge.

But now I feel like I bought EXE Transmission for no reason.

Why does Capcom have to whore out their albums like this?

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't give a composer breakdown for each game.

Is EXE Transmission even included in this boxset to begin with?

The PR blurb says this will include at least one more game than is currently listed, and the previously released soundtracks for MMBN 1~6 comprise five discs ([1] [2] [3], though the list notably does not include 5 DS right now), so all your guesses are as good as mine with regards to what else is going to be in this set.

A dream come true. Loved these songs the very first time I listened to them. Available EXE OSTs are ridiculously overpriced due their rarity these days.

Oh wow din't expect they'll include RockMan EXE N1 Battle music (but not rockman WS). Well at least it's something from Wonderswan rockman games.

The soundtracks are great. The earlier games especially prioritize crisp square waves and tones over muddy samples, leveraging the original GB sound chip to do most of the work. It is a sound that has aged better than the heavily sample-based Rockman Zero soundtracks from the same system.

I don't know where some sites get off on selling these at $300-400 considering 1~3 and 4+4.5+5 were $10 apiece during VGMWorld's final clearance.

Is anyone kind of hoping a MM Legends box is next? Would be the next logical step.

But there's just 3 games, so 3-4 disc release isn't a box set category for me. And I'd rather see Rockman Zero / ZX-boxset. Alongside those arrangement albums, and for the first time soundtrack release for Zero 4.

I think it would be more than 3-4 discs honesty. MML2 and MoTB have a lot of music if I recall, granted many of those pieces are variations that build upon one another. Those scores are larger than some may be thinking. I can't help but remember seeing a rip of MML2 years ago and there being about 100 different pieces which is one of the reasons it and was probably never released on disc to begin with. The Capcom Special Selections disc for DASH II is all well and good (it has the most important pieces IMO) but I'd shell out for a Legends box since there isn't a whole lot of Legends merch. I'm not really worried about it not being a million discs either, not that the other boxes are a bad deal at their prices.

I'd also like to see another, less limited Zero box with everything in it as well. A reprint of BOF box would be nice as well. I have it but at the going rate many people aren't going to be jumping to buy it

Seems this box set is missing The Count Crossover music from Mega Man Battle Network 6. I suppose it was probably omitted due to Boktai being by Konami. At least we still got that track on the original Mega Man Battle Network 6 soundtrack release.

I also noticed they switched Mega Man Battle Network 5 DS and 6's music around in Disc 5 to have Mega Man Battle Network 5 DS' music first instead of having it after 6 like the original release. This way makes more sense to me.

Which information is correct, the one posted here, or the one for Rockman EXE 5DS & 6 Complete Music Encyclopedia?
This page claims Toshihiko Horiyama composed "バトルテーマ-EXE4.5 STYLE-" (5.10), while the other page claims that both Toshihiko Horiyama and Akari Kaida did it.

So both albums were wrong actually

For here, there's no breakdown in this album, and I just miscopied the info from the 5DS/6 album. I meant to credit both Horiyama and Kaida.

BUT

The 5DS/6 album doesn't have a composition breakdown for the 5DS tracks either, and the entry credited both when it should've only credited Kaida (it's an arrangement of "Battlefield" from 4.5).

Would anyone be able to update the English tracklist with the titles featured in the Legacy Collection?

These are the English titles featured in the Legacy Collection's music player. The translations are a bit of a mixed bag in my opinion, and I suspect that they might have even utilized a few outdated fan translations for some of them. For example, they used "In The Room" even though "Indoors" sounds a lot more organic. They also went with "Incident Occurrence!" instead of something more natural sounding like "An Incident Occurs!" or even just "Incident!" I also noticed a bit of inconsistency when it came to some of the localized titles as well. Although "Yoka Village" "Cielo Castillo," and "Hades Island" are what's listed in the sound player, they're only ever referred to as "Yoka," "Castillo" and "Hades Isle" in the English script. There's also a few instances of inconsistent capitalization between titles too as some titles have "in" "a" and "the" capitalized while others do not.
