I would make premature guesses about composers<->songs if it wasn't for two things... one, not knowing what track is what, and two, that there might not even be composer clarifications anyway.

^ I've been listening to the game rip lately and it's pretty blatant (more so than ever) who did what, which is always nice.

it is yeah, I have them all guessed with almost no trouble and I expect something like a 2% margin for error, it's that clear cut.

Strange, it's already out but I can't find any outlets anywhere that has a copy. Not even ebay. Where might one get one of these?

Sellers are beginning to have pre-orders ready on eBay. I've pre-ordered mine from a seller called game_agora. The CD's out, but it usually takes up to 4 weeks or so for people in Japan to get their copies from Club Nintendo. I guess that's better than Club Nintendo Europe's 8 weeks.

Well, I guess it's nice that, unlike the last batch of Club Nintendo albums, this one actually does have liner notes. There are literally no names anywhere, though, which is hugely disappointing. No credits for the arrangements, and even the liner notes are credited just to "'Hoshi no Kirby Wii' sound staff" and "'Hoshi no Kirby Wii' director."

That stinks, guess in-game credits will have to do.

Thanks for the scans Neo_Chip.
I did the stitching of the inner scans, though it's not perfect between p. 1 & 2.

I picked this up again, just before the price hike, but I keep asking. Why is this album skyrocketing in value? What makes this the most expensive Club Nintendo release?

I've seen them at auctions at:
¥11,000 — $129

Why?

Perhaps it had an unusually small print, quantity wise.
Nintendo probably realized there won't be much of demand for Kirby CDs. Which is true, who gives a shit about Kirby!

I don't know about that there's plenty of copies available, did people just realized how great the soundtrack is? Or could it be that the Chinese and North Korean firewalls were lifted and now a generation of Kirby fans can buy from Kirby goods from Japan?

Quite a mystery... O_o

I saw this post on Twitter by a Kirby modder: https://twitter.com/reserved_kirby/s...68697665941504
Quote:
With the help of @dokodonmystery, we've finally figured out the internal naming conventions for Kirby music. Jun Ishikawa's tracks are headered with the game's codename (ie: TRT = Torte/PR, PLF = Parufe/TDX). Nearly everything else is Hirokazu Ando. We've also figured out that nearly all of the modern sound effects come from Ando. He has labeled folders the sound banks that route over to many of Kirby's Copy Abilities, major bosses, plus some other misc. things like various subgame SFX. With this now known, it allows us to see who made what in the games that exclude such detail, such as Return to Dream Land and the expanded subgames. If people are actually interested in knowing the individual composer stuff, I'll compile a list of relevant tracks soon.

Somewhat late and I am pretty satisfied with the composer info I have, but nonetheless, would be interested in seeing this published it's always good to have a legitimate/authoritative source of information.

This may seem like a stretch, but I've actually been checking the RtDL sound files by myself and, to me, it roughly seems like the Ishikawa songs are mostly in capital letters and the Ando ones in lowercase. At least that seems to line up with some confirmed songs from the 3DS sound tests (e.g.: st_plants ("The Adventure Begins" by Ando), ST_IUK_TOUT1 ("Aurora Area" by Ishikawa), etc.); for the ones not confirmed I'm convinced they line up with Ando and Ishikawa the way I described.

That being said though we probably shouldn't treat this as explicit confirmation (even though I'm pretty sure it is =P). I wonder if many other games would also have their internal sound files categorized per artist...

I've corrected the post I made a while back on the matter on another thread with these new discoveries, in case anybody wants to check it out.

Any educated guesses as to arranger/composer credit for the three bonus tracks at the end of the album?

Probably Hirokazu Ando for all three, since they all seem to be mostly his music?

EDIT: Although at least "Last Battle" has some Jun Ishikawa music...

Since thanks to Return to Dream Land Deluxe's jukebox we now have proper composer credits and English names for all songs (see my post in the game's thread for more info), I'll leave here the pertinent information for this album (just in case someone from staff wants to edit the album):

Quote:
01 Four Adventurers: Cookie Country - Hirokazu Ando
02 Magolor, the Far-Flung Traveler - Hirokazu Ando
03 The Adventure Begins - Hirokazu Ando
04 Bring On the Super Ability - Hirokazu Ando
05 Woods Wayfarer - Hirokazu Ando
06 Exploring the Cave - Hirokazu Ando
07 Beyond the Hill - Jun Ishikawa
08 Battle on the Horizon - Jun Ishikawa
09 Blazing! Boss Battle - Hirokazu Ando
10 You Got a Part Sphere! ~ Clear Dance - Jun Ishikawa
11 Green Greens (Return to Dream Land) - Hirokazu Ando
12 Raisin Ruins - Jun Ishikawa
13 Sandy Wilds - Jun Ishikawa
14 Exotic Pyramid - Jun Ishikawa
15 Onion Ocean - Jun Ishikawa
16 Happy Mambo - Hirokazu Ando
17 A Stroll on the Ocean Floor - Jun Ishikawa
18 White Wafers - Hirokazu Ando
19 Snowball Scuffle - Jun Ishikawa
20 Nutty Noon - Jun Ishikawa
21 Sky Waltz - Hirokazu Ando
22 Sky Tower - Hirokazu Ando
23 Dreaming of Clouds - Hirokazu Ando
24 Crash! Mid-Boss Tower - Hirokazu Ando
25 You Got...a Part Sphere? ~ Grand Doomer - Hirokazu Ando
26 Distant Halcandra - Jun Ishikawa
27 Egg Engines - Jun Ishikawa
28 The Birthplace of Steel - Hirokazu Ando
29 Techno Factory - Jun Ishikawa
30 Underworld - Hirokazu Ando
31 Dangerous Dinner - Hirokazu Ando
32 Haldera Volcano - Hirokazu Ando
33 Limitless Power - Hirokazu Ando
34 Ultra-Super Boss Battle - Hirokazu Ando
35 Another Dimension - Jun Ishikawa
36 Guardian Angel: Landia - Jun Ishikawa
37 Road to Victory - Hirokazu Ando
38 Otherworldly Warrior - Jun Ishikawa
39 Fly, Kirby! - Hirokazu Ando
40 Welcome Your New Overlord - Jun Ishikawa
41 C-R-O-W-N-E-D - Hirokazu Ando
42 Return to Dream Land - Hirokazu Ando
Themes arranged from other games:
-Track 10: "Kirby Dance" from Kirby's Dream Land (Jun Ishikawa)
-Track 11: "Green Greens" from Kirby's Dream Land (Jun Ishikawa)
-Track 16: "Kine's Theme" from Kirby's Dream Land 2 (Tadashi Ikegami via Kirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert pamphlet interview)
-Track 23: "Grape Garden" from Kirby's Adventure (Hirokazu Ando)
-Track 24: "King Dedede's Theme" from Kirby's Dream Land (Jun Ishikawa)
-Track 38: "The Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy" from Kirby Super Star Ultra (composer unknown)
-Track 42: quotes part of Green Greens (Jun Ishikawa)

Some notes:
-Apparently, it looks like one of the songs has gotten a rebranding, as the name "Exploring the Cave" (どうくつたんけん) has been given to a completely different track in the Switch version, with the corresponding theme in this album being called now "Crystal Dungeons" (すいしょうのダンジョン). Both songs are credited to Ando in the jukebox though, so the credit is still correct either way.
-The "Clear Dance" (クリアダンス) in the later part of track 10 corresponds to "Kirby Dance (Long) - After Boss" in the jukebox.
