I - I strangely love this release. I mean I would have been happy enough with them just putting the in-game music on a disc and selling it, but I don't know, I don't mind the whole orchestration thing here like I do with most symphonic suites (it's just not my thing). Is that because the music was already rather orchestral?
I love the original TR, but my (that) love did slip away with every sequel: TR1: Freaking love it TR2: As a sequel, it's fine; don't love it, don't hate it TR3: If I didn't hate the series by now, I was really starting to TR4: Never played it at release, played a few snippets here and there cause I no longer carried. TR5: Played this many years after the fact. It was fine. It had a few moments I liked, but I was still kind of done with TR as a whole. Still, that said, McCree's music was always a big part of why I liked the series as much as I did while I did. |
