KING'S FIELD BEST SOUND TRACK
If memory serves me right, the disc contained within this collection was the same as the King's Field Best Track album that was released outside of the set. That means that it only contained music from King's Field I through III, and should be a reissue (child album) instead of a separate entry.

I read on somewhere that the tracks covered from KFI to KFIII were the same as King's Field original besttrack, though. Last edited by Cedille; Oct 30, 2010 at 05:35 PM. |

It probably won't help much (or at all), but here's the official page.

Interesting. Definitely puts this on my want list even more than it already was.

I want to complete the credits. From the game manuals or the staff rolls, below are apparently listed;
KF: Koji Endo, Kaoru Kono KFII: SOUND KID'S Corp. KFIII:SOUND KID'S Corp. KFIV: Tsukasa Saitoh, Yuji Kanda, Yuki Ichiki I never listened to KING'S FIELD original besttrack, but does it complete the in-game music of KFI? (KFI has never been released outside of Japan, but I hope somebody can answer this), if so, I think it's safe to go with "Koji Endo, Kaoru Kono, SOUND KID'S Corp." for the said album. This album, on the other hand, is likely to be incomplete, and we don't know who scored Additional I&II... |

I've been researching the music to ALL FROM SOFTWARE games...so I'll look into it for everyone.
I know that for KF3, the composers were: Koji Endo, Kaoru Kono, Takashi Aoki, Yasushi Kawakami, Yasunobu Suzuki. Endo and Kono also did KF1 and KF2...that I've confirmed. |

From the end creditses:
KF1: "Music Composer: Koji Endo, Kaoru Kono" KF2: "Music Compose & Sound Effect: SOUND KID'S Corp." (SOUND KID'S is Koji Endo's company; the end credits at least don't include specific names) KF3: "Music & Sound Effect: SOUND KID'S Corp. - Kohji Endoh, Kaoru Kohno, Takashi Aoki, Yasushi Kawakami, Yasunobu Suzuki" (no indication who did music and who did SE) KF4: "Sound Team: Tsukasa Saitoh, Yuji Kanda, Yuki Ichiki / Sound Director & BGM Composer: Tsukasa Saitoh" (Kanda's and Ichiki's roles are unclear) |

I did an edit:
I looked at the credits to Additional I's songs, which appear at the end of the game, and saw this. http://i.imgur.com/KJt4Qir.jpg They appear to all be on previous From Software game soundtracks, including Armored Core, so I presume they are the musicians who created the songs in the first Additional game. I'll check the second game soon. |

We don't have a scan of the booklet for ABCA-73, but I recently acquired a copy and it only lists Koji Endo (SOUND KIDS) as "sound compose" with SOUND KIDS credited as "sound staff." It's possible they forgot to credit Kaoru Kono as a composer (or other people from SOUND KIDS) but I'm thinking that maybe Kono just wrote some of the more minor tracks that were omitted from these "best of" albums. Would make sense that Endo did most of the main tunes if he's the main man behind SOUND KIDS. In any case, all the KF1-3 tracks on this album are also on ABCA-73, so I think we can safely credit all of those as Endo's here unless other information contradicts that.
