Default CVST-0019: MUCHIMUCHIPORK! & PinkSweets W Sound Track

Here's the trailer featuring a track from Hayama and a track from WASi303. Hayama's track, I'm pretty sure, is a remix of the stage 1 theme. I know for sure, because I asked, that the WASi303 remix is Ura Ura Uranium.

Yeah, there may be new BGM (similar to ESPGaluda II), but I guess we will have to wait until the OST is released to find that out.

Can anyone confirm that these are the new arrange soundtracks?

I've only listened to bits of them so far, but what I have heard is indeed the arrange versions from the 360 game.

Yep, I've had it confirmed from elsewhere - they are indeed the arrange soundtracks.

Edited the tracklist to match the tracklist on the CD release. The CD data reads Battle_05, but the packaging clearly states "Stage_05" for Disc 1.

WASi303 tells me that it is new music for the game, however, I'm also clarifying to see if any of them are remixes. The original correspondence made it seem like there was some, but now I'm not so sure.

EDIT: No remixes, all new music.

The first disc is great. 'Stage 3' is vgm hall of fame. That piano melody! It's GOOD. -edit: now finally on youtube *click*-

The second disc...let's just forget about that disc.

Disc 1 gets a 3/5. Only 3 tracks I want to listen to on Disc 1: 2,6, and 10. A lot of respect to WASi303 for his arrangements since the original soundtrack was awful to listen to.

Track 1 ('player select') is a bit too fruity and I skip over it. Track 3 is a decent filler track. Track 5 is strange barnyard music that is certainly interesting, but not something I get amped up to listen to.

I don't really care for 'Battle_01'. 'Battle_02' is better. The boss tracks are worse than the non-arranged battle tracks from what I listened to of the originals on youtube. (I still think the arranged boss track is a nice take on the original.) The ending, staff roll, and name entry tracks are subpar to other Cave albums.

Overall: All the tracks have really good shuffle/rolls sequences. The flow of the album is excellent.

I was now listening to this and the original soundtracks. The booklet says nothing, but these are actually ALL ARRANGED from their original Muchi and Pink Sweet soundtracks. Seriously!!! How can they say its new music?

Um... what? Can you give an example?

This statement didn't pass the sniff test with me, so I did a quick listen between the PinkSweets Stage 1 and the PinkSweets W (Koji Hayama) Stage 1. Completely different melodies, completely different songs. The only thing even remotely similar to them is that they have roughly the same tempo.

Don't wanna play douche card, but I'm pretty well-versed with music theory and have been analyzing songs for a long period over my life.

Can some more members of vgmdb please compare these two songs?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48L8QKOFehc -- original PinkSweets Stage 1 composed by MASAKING

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLq5hsr_yxg -- PinkSweets W Stage 1, composed by Koji Hayama

I do not detect the same melody anywhere at all...

If something, Hayama's track might be just slightly inspired by the original PinkSweets tune. What does Hayama say on the liner notes btw.?

Hayama says nothing conclusive, he did this and that but doesn't refer to the originals.
WASi303 says rather than an usual arrange its a 'new world view'.

I think Razakin is right it's just inspiration.

Inspiration. I can dig that. I swear I hear "references" of the originals..... except last boos and true last boss of pink sweets w. everything else sounds like the original. (not really exactly exactly like the original , but it has parts from specific songs.)

That last statement you make may well be the case. This might sound reeeeally irritating to do, but if you can identify a specific instance, there might be something I'm missing.

Like, "In song (x) and its remake equivalent, check out 0:45 on the one and 1:13 on the other and listen to those two measures."

If you hear something that really stands out, I'd very much like to hear it. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility... I'm just saying I really have never heard it before.

can't see that now... but listen stage 1 of muchimuchi in both sides. Dont' focus on the obvious sound and composing style.
Boss song too. that one is interesting. The bass sound in WASi303 version.... compare to the electronic main rhythm of the original
