Is there any reason why Akira's name is in the album title? It's not uncommon outside of game music for artist names to be on the spine or all over the album art, and still not be part of the album title. I think the same would apply here.

Took it out. You look at the scans (in this case, booklet 7 and the disc), and it's obvious Yamaoka's name isn't part of the actual title.

oh... DE VOL, according to here, is an alias Yamaoka used
http://www.last.fm/music/DE+VOL+feat...83%BC%E3%82%BF
Quote:
DE VOL is an alias of 山岡晃/AKIRA YAMAOKA that he used for the song DANCER featured on the game beatmania IIDX 8th Style, on which he also provided vocals.

This alias has been later used again for a similar rock band-type song on his solo album iFUTURELIST, SYSTEM LOVE 7.5.5, with Japanese artist チグニータ (Chigunita) providing guest female vocals on it.
future follow up:
18th being the data track, but neither the times in EAC or listed in foobar seem to make the freedb, at least through EAC, pull up the info, so oh well, or something.
