Mostly questions for dma:

I couldn't find any mention of this reprint anywhere. Was it just some kind of promo release of GSM Sega 2?

Also, is the cover really identical to the official release?

Yes it's a promo release of SEGA GSM 2, i didn't knew how to precise this other way than lalbeling it as "Enclosure / Promo" release type.

Yeah it's the exact same on front.

Thanks for the info. It's amazing how much stuff we still don't know. I wonder if the rest of the Sega GSMs were also released as promos. I know that quite a few of the KOEI albums were, and we've got some of them in the database.

Is the obi and something else different? Was this Capcom's way of differentiating not for sale discs?

I've added scans of this promo release. Unfortunately I don't have the Obi, but I'm not sure that the promotional version have one of it.
