Does anyone know where (SFC Action & Shooting) in the title comes from? I don't see it on any other page, or on the disc scan.
EDIT: Rolled back the edit. |

SS, old thread and it looks like you've already changed the name but just to answer your question, SFC Action & Shooting is on the back of the cardboard insert that the CD comes on.

See this thread for general notes about what I'm trying to do with these albums: https://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6420.
01~05: Zelda no Densetsu Kamigami no Triforce doobie doo doo 06: SD Gundam Gaiden: Knight Gundam Monogatari - Ooinaru Isan "Music Composer: Anie" - http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm7333675 (23:06). Screenshot for those of you who aren't Nico'ers: http://quiteajolt.com/vgmdb/sdgundamgaiden.jpg. EDIT (2018-07-30): あに is "Anie," or Tatsuya Nishimura. It's confirmed he worked for TOSE, who developed this game: https://web.archive.org/web/20110510...nishimura.html 07~08: Super Nobunaga no Yabou: Bushou Fuuunroku f yeah KOEI soundtracks 09~10: Super Fire ProWrestling This album stuffs all of the soundtrack into three tracks, but the composer info still works! EDIT (2018-07-30): Both songs are contained in track 7 of that album, so we can narrow the composers down to three. 11~12: JOE & MAC: Tatakae Genshijin Arcade: "Sound: Maro, Atomic Hanada, T. Miura, Y. Takahama" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_y9o7dzAkY&t=8m09s. SNES: "Sound Creator: Atomic Hanada, Min-Key Momo, N'gja Miura, 'Z' Yamanaka" - http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/snes/a/joe.htm. 13: Battle Commander I've got nothing for this one. I'm not certain this game has credits. 14: Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes PC-88: "Music: Mieko Ishikawa, Masaaki Kawai" - http://www14.big.or.jp/~nijiyume/fal...90/fcg/ds6.htm. No idea about SNES credits. 15: Thunder Spirits Genesis: http://vgmdb.net/album/456. "Opening" is "The Wind Blew All Day Long" and "STAGE 1" is "Back to the Fire." The SNES version doesn't have end credits. 16~17: Super Wagyan Land "Music's Older Brother: Noririn♪" - http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm14895 (9:25). The credits for this game are, uh, a bit silly, but Norihiko Togashi included the game in his old works list, so it's him: http://web.archive.org/web/200301011.../txt/work.html. 18~19: Takahashi Meijin no Daibouken Jima this soundtrack is p. good imo 20: Lagoon X68K OST: http://vgmdb.net/album/5600. The game itself credits "Naizoh Uraomote" with music. The SNES version has no end credits. 21~22: Dimension Force No one is credited for sound: http://www.mobygames.com/game/snes/d-force/credits. 23: Chibimaruko Chan: "Harikiri 365-Nichi" no Maki "Sound Composer: Hisao Ogawa, Takashi Kutsukake" - http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5036826 (12:45). Screenshot: http://quiteajolt.com/vgmdb/marukoharikiri.jpg. 24: Super Formation Soccer "Sound: Hiroya Niwayama, Hironori Tanaka, Masamichi Yamazaki, Tetsuji Ohtani" - http://www35.atwiki.jp/sfcall/pages/1192.html. All four are credited with composition on this album: http://vgmdb.net/album/5918. EDIT (2018-07-30): This song is contained in track 10 on that album, so we can narrow down the composers to two. 25: Akumajo Dracula "Sound Designer: Masanori Oodachi, Souji Taro" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr6x1AyZZnc&t=4m22s. "Masanori Oodachi" is generally agreed to be Masanori Adachi, but per this post, perhaps he's Masanori Oouchi? I want to believe it's Adachi, because he's an amazing composer and SCIV is an amazing soundtrack, so it fits my narrative. EDIT (2018-07-30): The sound team here was actually four people: Masanori Adachi & Masanori Oouchi, and Akira Souji & Taro Kudo. However, only Adachi and Kudo did music. 26: Choukou Gasshin Xardion this soundtrack also rules 27: Super Shanghai: Dragon's Eye The SNES version has no sound credits. There are earlier versions of the game for various systems (Genesis, MSX, etc.), and I have no idea if this soundtrack is based on any of them or is original. 28: Ranma 1/2 I'm not sure which SNES Ranma game this is supposed to be. All of the ones I could find were released in 1992 or later, after this album was published, and I couldn't find this track in any of their soundtracks. Toshio Okamoto was previously credited for this track, and he worked on a couple of SNES Ranma 1/2 games. 29~31: Wizardry V R.I.P. Haneda ;__; 32: Axelay "Effect & Ending-1: AKI / Music Compose: Taro / ST2·Remix: M.C.ADA" - https://youtu.be/xz82qeaWd_k?t=162 EDIT (2020-10-30): This version of Unkai is slightly different from the in-game version, but it's still almost entirely the same composition EDIT (2021-03-25): Added actual in-game credits for this because the OST doesn't specify composition Last edited by CHz; Mar 25, 2021 at 05:43 PM. Reason: added in-game credits for Axelay |

This is a different mix of Unkai! The game was still almost a full year away so I guess this is some sort of early cut?

Strange. The tracklist on page 18 of the magazine lists track 24 as:
オープニング (1'43") while the disc insert has: BGM 1 I'll upload scans whenever I can. Edit: done! Last edited by Jedi QuestMaster; Feb 25, 2022 at 08:47 AM. |
