Hello, gamers. I want to give my take on Chaotix composer credits.
There's a VGM set by Valley Bell that assigns credit as follows: Junko Shiratsu - Door Into Summer Junko Shiratsu - Electoria Junko Shiratsu - Speed of Sound Junko Shiratsu - Seascape Junko Shiratsu - Midnight Greenhouse Junko Shiratsu - New Moon Junko Shiratsu - Labyrinth Junko Shiratsu - Trial and Error Junko Shiratsu - Walkin' Junko Shiratsu - Hyper-Hyper Junko Shiratsu - Evening Star Junko Shiratsu - Moonrise Junko Shiratsu - Overture Junko Shiratsu - This Horizon Junko Shiratsu - Take Off Junko Shiratsu - Combination Mariko Nanba - Take a Nap Junko Shiratsu - Surging Power Mariko Nanba - Mechanical Dance Junko Shiratsu - Tube Panic Mariko Nanba - Crystal Nightmare Mariko Nanba - Child's Song Junko Shiratsu - Soda Pop Mariko Nanba - Pendulum Junko Shiratsu - Silver Screen Junko Shiratsu - Tachy Touch Junko Shiratsu - Chaotic World Junko Shiratsu - Surprise Junko Shiratsu - Nice Meeting You Junko Shiratsu - Have a Happy Day Junko Shiratsu - Reach the Goal Junko Shiratsu - High Five Junko Shiratsu - Decision Junko Shiratsu - From Party to Party Mariko Nanba - Have Some Fun Junko Shiratsu - Oriental Legend Mariko Nanba - Steel Heart Junko Shiratsu - Tribute Mariko Nanba - Destructive Power Junko Shiratsu - Just Another Day While I mostly agree with these credits, there's a few songs that I disagree with. And there's plenty that I'm unsure of. I'm not nearly as familiar with Mariko Nanba's style, so I could be very, very wrong. I won't discuss reasons for every song, just ones that I'm unsure of/think can be disputed. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that every song featured in the credits medley, Just Another Day, was composed by Junko Shiratsu. Take a Nap is accredited to Mariko Nanba, but it uses the main leitmotif by Junko Shiratsu. I thiiinnk Shiratsu composed this one. (style sounds like hers, too.) Mechanical Dance is accredited to Mariko Nanba, but I'm convinced Shiratsu composed it. The percussion is similar to Hyper-Hyper, and the bassline and PSG sound like her style. Now we're at the boss themes. I think it's likely Nanba composed all of them, including Oriental Legend (but not including Trial and Error). Crystal Nightmare is accredited to Nanba, which I agree with. Child's Song is accredited to Nanba, which I agree with. Soda Pop is accredited to Shiratsu, which I think I disagree with. Slightly unsure with this one. Pendulum is accredited to Nanba, which I agree with. The bassline here is almost exactly the same as the PSG melody used in Oriental Legend, so they most certainly were composed by the same person. Silver Screen is accredited to Shiratsu, which I disagree with. Just sounds like another Nanba boss theme. Now we're at random short songs and jingles. I'm unsure on most of them. Chaotic World is accredited to Shiratsu, which I agree with. Surprise is accredited to Shiratsu, but I'm unsure. Nice Meeting You is accredited to Shiratsu, which I agree with. Have a Happy Day is accredited to Shiratsu, which I agree with. Reach the Goal is accredited to Shiratsu, which I agree with. High Five is accredited to Shiratsu and I don't really care. Same thing for Decision. From Party to Party is accredited to Shiratsu, which I agree with. Have Some Fun is accredited to Nanba, which I disagree with. (unsure) Oriental Legend is accredited to Shiratsu, which I disagree with for reasons stated above. Steel Heart... I have no idea. I'd say Nanba. Tribute is accredited to Shiratsu, and I agree. Destructive Power is accredited to Nanba, but I'm unsure. Just Another Day is accredited to Shiratsu. I agree, and as I already mentioned, every song contained within is also by Shiratsu. And now, here is what I think, as a list: Junko Shiratsu - Door Into Summer Junko Shiratsu - Electoria Junko Shiratsu - Speed of Sound Junko Shiratsu - Seascape Junko Shiratsu - Midnight Greenhouse Junko Shiratsu - New Moon Junko Shiratsu - Labyrinth Junko Shiratsu - Trial and Error Junko Shiratsu - Walkin' Junko Shiratsu - Hyper-Hyper Junko Shiratsu - Evening Star Junko Shiratsu - Moonrise Junko Shiratsu - Overture Junko Shiratsu - This Horizon Junko Shiratsu - Take Off Junko Shiratsu - Combination Junko Shiratsu - Take a Nap Junko Shiratsu - Surging Power Junko Shiratsu - Mechanical Dance Junko Shiratsu - Tube Panic Mariko Nanba - Crystal Nightmare Mariko Nanba - Child's Song Mariko Nanba - Soda Pop Mariko Nanba - Pendulum Mariko Nanba - Silver Screen Junko Shiratsu - Tachy Touch Junko Shiratsu - Chaotic World Junko Shiratsu - Surprise (Unsure) Junko Shiratsu - Nice Meeting You Junko Shiratsu - Have a Happy Day Junko Shiratsu - Reach the Goal Junko Shiratsu - High Five Junko Shiratsu - Decision Junko Shiratsu - From Party to Party Junko Shiratsu - Have Some Fun (Unsure) Mariko Nanba - Oriental Legend Mariko Nanba - Steel Heart (Unsure) Junko Shiratsu - Tribute Mariko Nanba - Destructive Power (Unsure) Junko Shiratsu - Just Another Day I'd love to hear anyone else's opinion on this topic.
