How To - Get iTunes Album Art

To grab iTunes album art directly from the web site.

1. Go to the album page on itunes.apple.com.
2. Right click open image in new tab
or
2. Right click on the album art and copy image url.
3. Paste url in browser address bar.
4. Edit end portion of address to change from ###x### (normally 100, 150 or 175) to 600x600, if 600x600 is not available try 700x700 then press enter.

1200x1200 works for most albums.
Edit: It should be noted that sometimes the 1200x1200 version is simply upscaled.

If done correctly the page will load with a 600x600 image of the album art.
Save the art, and attach to your files or upload here.

You can also use archive.org to find old pages of removed music to grab the art from iTunes.

You can also export it from the purchased audio files through softwares like MP3Tag, they usually come with embedded art.

Easier way if you already own the album:

-On iTunes, right click on the album ans select "Get Info"
-Select the Artwork tab
-Drag the image and drop it on your Desktop. Done

You'll usually get a bigger, higher quality image that way.

Also note, this works as of Version 12.4.1.6 of iTunes. As Apple updates iTunes they always manage WITHOUT FAIL to screw something up and ruin everything with the app, effectively ruining this method. If it comes to that then by all means, please correct me on this method in the future.

There's another way of getting the high-res cover without owning the album, higher than the usual 1200px I mean.

This one still loads the image from iTunes servers and if going for the 'high resolution' link, you'll have the highest resolution available. It seems it varies a lot, it can be a 1500px and a bit too much compressed image or something like 3.5 MB 1800px cover with no visible artifacts.

You can search by the title obviously or use the exact ID (option Apple ID Album) which can be picked up from the URL e.g.

Looks like the author implemented this highest res search since February last year so it's not exactly new (new to me though). Either way it's a cool little thing.

That's an awesome tool. I tried a few and was getting sizes like 2400x2400 and 3200x3200.
