The main theme is sooooo good and catchy. I wish Sakimoto was able to write more in this vein again.

I think it sounds more like New Super Mario Bros. Wii than Sakimoto.

I was getting kind of a Super Paper Mario vibe from the soundtrack in general with its upbeat quirkiness and 'out there' style. Has the same kind of synths and and occasional retro sounds. Still haven't given it a good full listen, but it's nice to hear Basiscape do something less "serious"/orchestral again. "Boss Battle" is super fun.

Welp, this was disappointing.

The main theme feels like Sakimoto-san phoned it in, slapped a track onto the album to bolster its credibility.

The album is kinda not good, but track 9 (Kaneda), 18 (Iwata) and 21 (Kaneda) are just so much fun that they make it worth it.
One of the tracks totally reminded me of the music that's in Mario games when Mario goes down the green pipe but I just can't find it now.

At the end of the day, it could've been worse.

I actually really enjoy the main theme Sakimoto did, and wish he'd return more to that electronic style more often.

I was gonna recommend Opoona to you, then I saw you had already rated it.

To me, it feels like that in this electronic style the other Basiscape members generally turn out better tracks than he does.

Track 21 from 30.5 seconds and Track 22 from 16.5 seconds seem to feature the same melody (sped up in 22), although different composers are credited for each.
