Has Wave Master said anything about releasing a volume 3? I've been enjoying the first two volumes (those SDI tracks in vol.1 are just awesome!) and would love for them to finish the entire System 16 game collection.

Is anyone here able to translate the Japanese text for an English tracklist?

Same issue for the notes in http://vgmdb.net/album/727, since Altered Beast music is there as well.

As far as I can make out for Altered Beast, it's

Crystal Ball Theme (Round Up)
and
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (Ending)

About Shinobi [Tracks 28~41 Disc 1] Yasuhiro Kawakami is the same 'XOR' guy in the Master System version?

Does anyone here know what track Heavyweight Champ's name entry theme is an arrangement of? The tune is very familiar to me, and I forgot what it's called.

eduhunter: Kawakami and XOR are two different people (XOR composed for a game in 1991; by that time, Kawakami had left Sega)

First, Okunari says Nakabayashi for Super League, not Kawakami.

Second, he's vague about the composers of these three games in the same way, saying "it seems" they were in charge of music. I wish he didn't do this.

Everything else is fine.

(I'll add that Okunari mentions in the intro that Y.K left Sega and went on to work on many well-known titles at "S" Co., which looks like more acknowledgment that he's the same Yasuhiro Kawakami of Square.)

Awesome. I must have missed that the first two games had separate composers then.

Odd that the boss theme is written as "GAUM-HAMMER" rather than "GAUM-HERMER" like on Galaxy Force -G.S.M. SEGA 1-. I'm curious as to which is the correct correct title. The word "Guam" apparently means to to smear or cover with a gummy, sticky substance, which makes me think that "Hammer" might the correct one, like you're smashing the bosses into paste. As far as I can tell, "Hermer" is not a real word, unless it's misspelling of "Hermes" or something.

Tohru Nakayashi has comments in Galaxy Force -G.S.M. SEGA 1-, and he writes its name as ブーム=ハンマー, which reads to me as Boom Hammer. So, Hammer is definitely correct, but Gaum might never have been correct.

Speaking of track translations, Hiro recently found out about the "Holy Moly! It's a Duck" translation for なんてたって あ・ひ・る. The title is a direct reference to Kyoko Koizumi's song なんてったってアイドル (Nantettatte Idol), so a translation that parodies that would make more sense. Nantettatte A.Hi.Ru is what it would be in romaji. Makes sense since Nantettatte Idol usually goes by a romaji title.

For what it's worth, there is an official translation of なんてたって あ・ひ・る. In SEGA SATURN MAGAZINE, for the jingle of it DAYTONA USA. There, it was just translated as A.HI.RU.
