TEAM Entertainment's website says the catalog number is KDSD-00334-339, so is there a mistake somewhere?
Anyway, 6 discs? Wow! |

I approved PV's edit since he was correct according to another source, but it may be better to set the number to KDSD-00334~9 for now.
BIG EDIT: TEAM Entertainment finally corrected the number! Last edited by Cedille; Feb 13, 2010 at 06:41 PM. |

Game Watch published the new front cover. I think the current cover on this entry is tentative.

Does it really come with a separate case for each disc? That seems so bulky and impractical to me.

I remember Saga Frontier II was released in this way too, although I don't know about the SQEX reprint.

It was also the case with Bayonetta. Although it also had 5 discs, Okami had a much nicer packaging.

If you cut out the A versions of most of the tracks that have two versions you are going to have a much better listening experience. Plus the tracks starting with Square Garden creep me out.

Added composition credits, in case they weren't already obvious.
In the booklet, I believe Disc 1 Track 23 "Victory" is incorrectly attributed to Sakuraba. Given its orchestral recording, the way it cuts off to loop, and its use of the chord progression from the "Upper World" themes, "Victory" is clearly Tanaka's work. After this, I can't imagine how Tri-Ace wouldn't want to hire back Tanaka as a full replacement for Sakuraba. Even though Tanaka's work comprises a little over a single disc's worth of music, it is the bread and butter of the entire score. Sakuraba's contributions sound like little more than an afterthought. It doesn't help that each pair of dungeon/battle tracks are recordings of literally the same data with different instruments added or removed. But I think the biggest problem is the sheer lack of development in his music here. It's just plain boring. Though the majority of this album (Sakuraba's portion) is entirely irrelevant, I would heartily recommend End of Eternity solely for Tanaka's work. It's one of his best scores (game and anime included) and shows what modern game music can sound like when done by a true artist.

I agree.
Tanaka's classical approach and grand scale is refreshing and impressive. Can someone recommend me some of his other works that are similar in style? |

I'd like to add that there's also a solo (alto) saxophone performance not listed or credited in the game or book credits. "Albona" is an example.

The saxophone player is Hiromi Sano. "Sax" was mistakenly transcribed as "Saw."

Well, there is a such thing as a musical saw. But EoE doesn't have one.
