Default Web Services

I was wondering if there were any plan (even in the distant future), to provide a way to query the database remotely. Something like what you can do with the MusicBrainz, Amazon or Last.fm data.

Because plugins (or maybe even new taggers) could be written to access the VGMdb data in order to correctly tag one's files. I'm unfortunately not skilled enough to provide any kind of help with that on the server side, but I'd be willing to try to write something on the client side (ie, a plugin for ex falso, a tagger, or maybe a python module to access the webservice).

So there, just curious ^^

We do plan on having an API for externally assessing the database info, so stuff like this will be completely possible. I can't promise when that would be available though, since there's a lot of other stuff in the hopper.

Thanks for the quick reply !

Very happy to know the idea is there, in any case. ^^
