I didn't realize how "reprint" works in VGMdb. The reprint corrects the track titles on the booklet:

https://gekicore-gamelife.com/gamemusic/145.html

( Original/defective booklet: https://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=3942 )

I thought I could edit the Square Enix reprint's tracklists without affecting the DigiCube original print, but that wasn't the case. Should the new tracklists remain since it's clear that Square Enix has acknowledged the original print's titles are wrong?

Or does SQEX-10242~3 need to be unlinked from SSCX-10078~9?

@yindesu

Hey, sorry I didn't see this earlier. A child album can have a different tracklist than the parent (as long as the number and order of the tracks are the same.) You can submit a new tracklist on the child, and then it will use that tracklist instead of the parent's.

I saw the note,
Quote:
Note: This Album is a reprint. Adding a tracklist will unlink all parent tracklists. If you don't wish to do this, then please add the tracklist to the parent album.
and was wondering if we actually want to unlink the tracklists for SSCX-10078~9 (wrong titles) and SQEX-10242~3 (corrected titles).

I'm not clear whether the policy here is to continue following the booklet titles even after a pseudo-official confirmation that the booklet contains an error. (The musician credits had already been changed to not follow the original defective booklet, based on details in the liner notes, for example.) For example, I know that Capcom had to issue a notice of defective titles on https://vgmdb.net/album/41784 - https://www.capcom.co.jp/support/faq...3_0033008.html - and that entry now has a "corrected" tracklist in addition to the defective tracklist. Is that something that makes sense on the original SSCX-10078~9 if I divorce SQEX-10242~3's tracklists from it?

Oh, I see. When there is an official correction, we do post the correct one as the main tracklist. Looks like the parent tracklist is already the corrected version on this album, though we are inconsistent on the CAPCOM one.
