Does anyone know if these Art of Fighting soundtracks contain the music from the Arcade version, the Neo-Geo version CD, or both?

Normally, the SNK arcade hardware we are talking about, is the "Neo-Geo MVS Hardware".. It was then ported for console, called Neo-Geo AES.

But since the hardware is the same (this include the soundchip), all of these soundtracks should be "Arcade, Neo-Geo".

Neo-Geo CD is different, and the music is always slighty different from the cartridge version. -often called "Arranged"-
(It utilizes redbook audio to play music).

So no.. this album does not contain the "Neo-Geo CD" music.
Like all SNK albums, no one is related to this hardware.

I am not an expert.. but this question should be asked for Neo-Geo CD exclusives games like:
Super Iron Brikinger
Shinsetsu Samurai Spirits Bushido Retsuden

Were these games ever released in arcade?

Talking about Neo-Geo hardware..

I modified the 2 albums i listed above.
They were never released on Arcade, these are Neo-Geo CD exclusives.

Another thing, is why should you keep the Neo-Geo CDZ platform ?
There's nothing in this hardware that is different from the Neo-Geo CD exept the x2 CD driver..
It's more a modification from the Neo-Geo CD..

I don't know. It's only listed for 2 albums, both of which also contain the regular CD, so we could probably remove it.

I've changed the display title from Art of Fighting to Ryuuko no Ken in this and related albums to be more consistent with all other SNK albums, which use the Japanese name (Garou Densetsu, Samurai Spirits...).

Bump for two reasons:

One, the music on the Neo-Geo CD version of the game is the same as the arcade; SNK never released the game with an arranged soundtrack on the platform. However it did have its own special mix in the PC Engine CD, but as far as I know that was never released on CD separately.

Two, I was wondering if anyone who owns this album could help me out with something. I was poking around in the game with an emulator and found a song that apparently never plays in the game, but what's weird about it is that the same song is included in the PS2 (in original and arranged form, on Art of Fighting Anthology) release of the game. I think it was also in the Neo-Geo CD version, but I don't have that handy to check.

Since I don't have this soundtrack and nobody's uploaded the whole thing to Youtube, could someone please check their CD and see if this song is in there?

Thanks.

Edit: Never mind, I located a digital version of the album and I confirmed the song is not in there. I also saw that Track 41 (etc. Voice) includes a couple of audio bits that are not used in the game! ("Won", "Lost", and "Perfect.") I couldn't find them by using sound players with the arcade romset so should this be changed to include "unused" content?
