Does anyone know where this "The Music of Castlevania" subtitle comes from? As far as I know, the album title is simply "Unchosen Paths".

By the way, this is one of the best arrange albums ever. It blows my mind the level of quality put into this, and then to release it for free!

P.S. I broke it into 2 "discs" to more accurately reflect the description.

Well, it's present in the filename when you download the mp3s.

Michiru Yamane is in the notes but not in the original composer list. Is her music featured?

According to the website "Creeping Dusk" includes one theme each from Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness, both composed by Yamane.

This is correct. I've verified by ear as well (several times =}).

I suppose it's just been a while since I actually downloaded the album, and I may have messed with the metadata on my own copy. The subtitle seems fine to keep anyway.

I haven't noticed this. Anything in particular you could point out?

'Scale the Machine', while recognized as being 6:45, simply cuts off at around 6:00. Same thing for 'Shadow Buster', at about 1:20. I tried re-downloading the files but it made no difference.

Oh, i did not know there was a VBR encode of his album on the website now.
I got the same problem as seanne trying to download this new version.

I got the old 192 CBR version, and it does not have any problem.
I upped tracks 04 & 16 here (i suppose i can do that, it's a free album after all).
edit: i also upped the full 2cds in 192cbr here.

That's the only problem with digitally and independently published albums... they can change without notice and inconsistencies pop up. This may be the same reason I didn't see the "The Music of Castlevania" subtitle on my tags. Anyway, I'll have to check the bitrates of the version I have when I get a chance.

I just redownloaded all of the tracks from goat's site and listened to the entire thing and experienced no problems with tracks cutting off. I'm using iTunes (latest Mac version) and a 120GB 6G iPod Classic. I can only suggest it may be your media players causing problems. One possible solution is to use foobar2000's MP3 correction tools to try and iron out any possible problems with the new files.

I did the same and no changes on the track-lengths, also I'm not sure if it had the problems seanne mentioned when I first downloaded it. It could have been the server or something else, some problems may take few days to be fixed.
