Rogue Galaxy OST
I recently finished this game and the soundtrack is brilliant. Many great tracks on there. Although, I'd like to mention about two tracks specifically. When I heard these two themes, I automatically thought of FF IX and so I'm thinking if Tomohito Nishiura had something to do with IX or just an influence.
"The Misty Town" has a very IX sound to it and reminds me of Steiner's theme, and the "Shop Theme" reminds me of a IX theme which I can't put my finger on. Anyone else find the similarities? |

Of course Nishiura had absolutely nothing to do with FFIX. The soundtrack was composed exclusively by Uematsu (it was his last solo FF soundtrack). Beyond that, his first known work is for Dark Cloud in 2000 (before Level-5 had any connections to Square).
Now, as for Nishiura drawing inspiration from Uematsu, that is far more likely. Ramza |
