I think this is going to be delayed to April, like the game.

It was just the US release of the game that was delayed, the Japanese one has been out for a while.

Sorry, failed copypaste.

I left him in the composers field because he was credited in the enclosure, but I'm not sure why he's there: http://vgmdb.net/album/59374

That works. It seems to be impossible to find a video of the staff roll at the moment.

I remember Atlus said they would be remove any videos of the ending to protect people from spoilers. It turns out they weren't bluffing.

Meguro mentioned in a Famitsu interview that Konishi composed the anime cutscene BGM. He also mentions it here too, I'm pretty sure.

No Yumi Kawamura this time?! I really liked her work on the past Persona scores. Anyone familiar with this new vocalist, Lyn?

Considering that this release has 110 tracks, and the soundtrack leak had ~80 tracks, I'd wager it's very complete, with the additional tracks being from anime cutscenes plus the full version of "Wake Up Get Up Get Out There."

True. However, remember FF IX OST had the same number of tracks and still SQEX launched a PLUS OST with more than 40 tracks? Not that "this lightning" will strike here as well, but...

Anyone have any ideas for why two songs have "-elp version" at the end as opposed to "-another version"? I see it's an acronym for a band, is that it? The only other thing I can think of is help but the h is gone, which is a pretty bad idea.

franz I don't think they held anything back from this release, but if it's like Persona 3/4 we'll get an arrangement album probably. That album will probably include the "X In Velvet Room" track, as P3/4 had it as a bonus track, yet here that arrangement is absent.

I also had really high expectations, but I'm not liking what I'm hearing. Sounds very generic.

No collabs with Lotus Juice either. It looks like Meguro wanted to move away from the style of P3 and P4 which isn't bad per se but the end result is lacking IMO. This score could fit any other game just fine, nothing screams "Persona" here to me.

So, a little miracle happened today and Atlus released an OST in NA! Persona 5 Original Soundtrack is now on iTunes US.

Is there any reason to keep the unofficial translation over the official iTunes one, which uses names from the actual English release of the game?

I've just gone ahead and deleted the unofficial one, as the vinyl release also uses the iTunes naming.

You should have at least pasted the old track list in here, as some might want to have those 'literal' translations instead of official ones, like we do on multiple albums.

It looks like this site posted translated liner notes from the booklet, should it be added to the references on the page? on a side note, I wish there were more sites posting this stuff, I rarely see liner note translations, and if I do, it's only partial.

Changed a few tracks so that they'd be exactly the same as the source.

Genuine question: are the guitars here played live or digital synth (DAW/SVT)? because they sound really good, but OST does not credit live instruments outside of the strings section is some songs. I thought it could be Meguro playing, but I am not sure.

it could be meguro playing, as he promoted his indie game with a livestream of him composing and he was actually playing the guitar himself for the track. wouldn't surprise me if he did similar stuff for his other works, persona in particular.

99% sure it's live guitars, played by him despite the lack of credits. I don't remember if it's something he ever mentioned in the liner notes of any soundtrack or in any interviews, but there's a lot indicating this to be the case across pretty much his entire discography.
It's also the exact same case for Toshiki Konishi's compositions, not sure about the other AST members though.
