That's not a contradiction. Many freelancers work with project contracts as well which doesn't stop them being freelancers but the work they do as part of the contract is equal that of full time employees of the contracting company.

It was apparently just revealed on episode #86 of THE IDOLM@STER MUSIC ON THE RADIO that Yuta Yashiro = Eiji Momoki. JP Twitter is full of shocked reactions to this lmao

I independently confirmed this through copyright listings a while back, but it's nice to see it was officially revealed.
