Default Regarding cover titles

I have seen Myrkul edit a lot of my cover titles lately. And I can't help but saying that it's a pain in the ass!

For example, some years (or months) ago, basically all covers that referred to the outer booklet pages was named "Booklet Front & Back". But recently we started using "Exterior" and "Interior" for some scans (like cases, sleeves, and in this case; booklets). But now, it seems like Myrkul has decided to GO BACK to "Front & Back" again, but keep "Booklet Interior" for some scans (like for this entry).

Now, I'm okay with using "Front & Back" for, well, the outer pages. But in my opinion, I think that booklets that doesn't have any ACTUAL PAGES should just be Booklet Interior and Booklet Exterior, mainly because it feels more complete.

Disagree? Well, I think at least we needed a discussion on this.

I don't think either "Front & Back" or "Exterior" are wrong, so I don't have a strong opinion on which it should be. "Booklet Front & Back" is more consistent across all albums (so that the name is the same no matter how many pages are in the book), and I think that's probably what he's going for.

In that case, may I suggest that you put "Booklet Front & Back" in the cover list, please?

A question: which is the better form for naming the booklet pages?
"Booklet Pg." or "Booklet pg."

Either works well, but the former is often used more.

Hey guys sorry for my late answer.

I have been hesitating myself about using "Exterior/Interior".
It sounds more logical to me.. but like Secret said, Front & Back is more consistent on the database.

Also i have been renaming "Booklet Front" to "Front" if we already have a "Booklet Front & Back" scan.. (again for consistance) and this have probably not been understood since i gave no explication about it.. sorry about that guys.

About the pg. or Pg. or Pages..
I personnally like "pg." without the capital letter, but currently you can only choose "Pg."
Both are fine to me, and i am not renaming these anymore if the booklet have the right page numbers (ex: pg. 01-02, and not pg. 02-03 if they are not numbered).

I maybe have been managing the scans/queue section on my own without much discussion and feedback.. again i am sorry if you feel lost.
Just to let you know i have not set anything in stone and advices are welcome.
A scans submission guideline should be able to fix it all. I'll do it tomorrow i think.

Yes. Some guidelines would indeed be nice. We need to make titles official. Also, I prefer "pg." without the capital p, too. Maybe we should change it, in the list, to that -- if all else concurs?

Same here, though it's really kind of nitpicking

I think the reason we use "Booklet Front & Back" is probably because in some cases, we have a "Booklet Front" and a "Booklet Back" separately. If we split it up that way, then it makes more sense to people to see "Booklet Front & Back" because then they know that it is both the pages of the outside.

By the way, it seems many people don't know this but "pg" is not a correct abbreviation for page, it should be "p." for one page and "pp." for multiple pages.

That's true, we might want to use the proper abbreviation.

By the way, there's an official discussion thread up now for changes to the guidelines and titles:

No problem, I just thought you might want to comment on some of the proposed changes.
