Artists with duplicate names and aliases

We're approaching 2000 artists in the database now, so there are bound to be many who share the same names or aliases. For example, there are three different artists named Reika (REIKA from TILDE; reika from tsukiusagi, and 麗華/Reika who performs songs for CUFFS -- if any of these are actually the same person tell me so I can merge them). There's also RIO from Grandioso and Rio from WAVE.

I've coded in a little extra feature to the artist linking system -- artist suggestion boxes will now be a blinding shade of red if there are multiple selections. Check those carefully before you submit.

You can also use this thread to inform the rest of us if there are any duplicates to watch out for (or merge).

The only duplicates I know of are Kenji Yamamoto and Kenji Yamamoto.

Yeah, that's really bright and noticeable. Definitely eye-catching enough.

Another pair is Tsukasa (one of the composers of the Taito game Midnight Landing) and 矢鴇つかさ/Tsukasa Yatoki/Tsukasa (a doujin arranger).

These aren't exactly duplicate entries but it's a good opportunity to correct two artist names.
Izohu Takeuchi must be changed by Izuho Takeuchi (竹内出穂). And in the aliases category only should appear Ippo.
Also, Masaki Nakagaki must be replaced by Yoshimi Nakagaki (中垣斉己) with "Gakichan" as alias.

Are we positive about "Yoshimi"? As far as I know, there's never been anything official about his name besides his English credit in Phantasy Star IV as "M. Nakagaki" (doesn't really help that that's his only credit). Not even GMCL gives a Romanization. Project 2612, Chudah's Corner, and OverClocked ReMix all give "Yoshimi," but I don't know where it originated and who took what from where.

I just want to know if there's anything actually official about his given name because PS4 is awesome. <3

Actually, his name may be Masaki Nakagaki after all. Check out this page:

WaveMaster is Sega's music studio so it's as official as you can get. On that page "Masaki Nakagaki" is credited for a "Pyramid Magic Medley". There's no kanji name to verify with, but seeing as his name is listed among other Phantasy Star related artists like Yutaka Minobe and Fumie Kumatani, that could very well be our guy.

And based on my dictionary, Masaki is a valid reading for 斉己.

Well, taking account of WaveMaster's page I'm doubting.

then I romanized the name.

中垣 (Nakagaki) I hope that all agree with this. The problem resides in his name, 斉己, which I have only seen romanized as Yoshimi but if Gigablah says that 斉己 can too be Masaki then... go with Masaki.

Gensou Gakudan can be deleted too. It's better to use TAM Gensou Gakudan. It's the same and it's actually no real alias.
