iTunes credits all the music to Shizuo Aizawa, even track 14. That tune is an arrangement of the final boss theme from the original Darius, though, so the OGR credit from DARIUS ODYSSEY is probably right.

Does anyone know if this release is in better or much better quality than the SPC set?

You can set your iTunes region to Japan to hear previews of the tracks anywhere in the world. From them you can hear it's a bit brighter than the SNES normally sounds and has reverb added instead of the regular echo effect. So it's at least different, but, since this version isn't clearly flawed, "better" would be a matter of individual preference, and "much better" is even more subjective. I would say the average listener would say the iTunes version sounds better. To someone who played the game growing up and wants to hear that, it won't sound like they remember.
