Is there a bootleg of this floating around? I have seen a copy on Yahoo Japan auctions that has a different disc art. I'm wondering if it's a bootleg or not.

If that particular auction is still up, can you post a link so we can take a look?

Unfortunately the auction is over. But I did manage to save an image from the auction of the CD.

If you can post the disc photo, that would be a good start
Does it have the PC (Pony Canyon) and Scitron logos on it?

Probably samael has seen the "non pictured" version of the disc.
I discover 2 weeks ago a non picture disc of the Strider - Capcom GSM2 (linked on its own discussion) and I can deduct that probably some of the firsts GSM album (Daimakaimura, Power Drift, ecc...) were released in "limited picture-disc" edition & reprinted after (with same cat.no.) with the normal cover artwork and with the case not-transparent.

I wonder if there was a picture-disc version for Sega GSM 1 as well?

Those pictures look extremely cheap though; I thought my Winning Run album was fake.

A little better scans would be great, indeed.

No I meant the picture quality on the discs themselves.

I still meant the scans, though

The size of the case scans was perfectly fine.

Maybe Crash could scan his album if he's still around.
I am saying that because the booklet is actually incomplete.

I am still around. Looking through the booklet, you are right: the scans that are up now are incomplete. However, I moved a couple weeks ago, and still need to unpack my scanner, so it could be a few days before I can get to it.

In addition, my booklet isn't in the best shape: it was a rental CD, and the staples had fallen out on the sides, so the booklet was re-stapled slightly offset from the edge. I can still scan it, but it might be a little tricky.

Would be really nice if you could scan them

Personally, I prefer to scan pictures in with 1200 dpi (because my scanner doesn't have any de-screen options), and then just scale it down with Photoshop with "Bibubic Sharper" - most of the times to 900px in height (sometimes in width, depending on how the image was scanned, and the image layout), mainly because most of the times the file size gets too large with any dimension above (average), but also because it really is enough to see, just about everything in what was scanned.

I can just go up to 600dpi with mine, but that's already too heavy (over 3mb usually)?

I've heard that direct 300 dpi scans should look good, but I've never tried

And from what I can tell, 5MB seems to be the max file size for one picture.

Are we sure that (More Yamasan, B.B., Hakase) should all be credited with composition? JGML lists them as Sound Design.

If they didn't, the composers aren't mentioned at all in the ending credits of the game. I'd find that very odd. I think it's correct.

On the scan Booklet 02 you can find "ALL COMPOSED: MORE YAMASAN & B.B / ALL ARRANGED: MORE YAMASAN". Shouldn't this justify the listing?

So that means that Hakase just did sound design, then.

Any rumors on who "B.B." could be?

It seems that B.B. is Ryuichi Nitta. It was mentioned in an interview with Keiji Yamagishi.

we had B.B. (Ryuichi Nitta-san) create around 3 to 4 sounds for us
interesting.... now if he composed exactly 4 tracks for the arcade version, have these tracks been ported on the Nes?

oh, i think he meant 3-4 new tracks for the NES port, because the 4 arcade songs he did here are not on the port.
