"... but on the soundtrack his real name is used."

nextday, where did you get that?
flyingdog page use cornelius, like shops or cornelius page without forgetting the ost is out in 1 month so I don't see how you can know that

I guess I phrased that a bit poorly. He still uses the Cornelius name for the album as a whole. I meant he's using his real name for individual track credits. It isn't too unusual for an artist to release something under an alias but use their real name for credits. That's what's happening here.

You can see this on JASRAC for example - 作曲:小山田圭吾 / アーティスト:コーネリアス

I don't think VGMdb has a way of dealing with this type of thing which is why I have "Keigo Oyamada (a.k.a. CORNELIUS)" in the notes instead of just "Keigo Oyamada".

bah you just put cornelius and keigo in the composer field, it's not the first time that both composer and alias are in the same field
cf. advanced search -> composer -> hikaru nanase masumi ito

Cornelius has never been credited as a composer though, only Keigo Oyamada.

So you're saying I should add Cornelius as a composer even though the credit "作曲:コーネリアス" cannot be found anywhere official?

I wonder if I don't live in another dimension, seriously nextday?
when the anime and the official site has ongaku cornelius in the staff credits, I wonder how you can think it's not related to the composer of the show
I can't be 100% sure but it's possible that 99% of series with ongaku [name_here] refer to one or several composers
I wonder why you say it, it's like you just being catapulted in the music industry universe, did you eat hellacia recently?

yodobashi? (forced to search for that, such a pain)
I find curious the music is by cornelius on official sites and anime but the track details are by keigo

I wonder if I didn't already see something like that, anime credits different from ost etc. (I don't speak about that takanashi thing)

Yodobashi's credits have always ended up matching the credits on Victor Entertainment Shop in my experience. Their shop has not updated yet but it will soon enough. I've also shown you that it's credited that way in JASRAC.

jasrac ever used aliases?
to be honest, I rarely check jasrac, very rarely like once or twice a year (if I have a reason)

maybe jasrac only use names for composers
artist is a bit vague tho, I mean it's often used for a lot of things
