Yasuhiko Fukuda and Hirohiko Fukuda are the same person. I'm guessing it's a translation error rather than an alias of his, due to both names having the same kanji (seen the same problem with Jun/Atsushi before too.) Whatever the case, I thought I should point it out.
edit: figures, google translates to "yasuhiko" and babelfish to "hirohiko". additionally, fansite here - http://fsx.onmitsu.jp/ Last edited by Blitz Lunar; Oct 17, 2008 at 05:08 AM. |

The Japanese sites don't seem to agree on this either. Most of them seem to favor Yasuhiko, but GMCL went with Hirohiko, and we've been trusting that site for a fair amount of things. For now, I've made the Hirohiko entry and alias of the Yasuhiko entry (this one), so that we'd have a combined discography. We'll have to dig some more to get to the bottom of this.

YASUHIKO FUKUDA is listed here (you can find the kanji name in the tracklist). This seems to be taken from the booklet credits judging from the formatting. Edit: I actually recognize a fair bit of names in that list -- Michiaki Kato, Jia Peng Fang, Gen Ittetsu Strings... |

He's Yasuhiko Fukuda on the back of G.M.O. Christmas Songs, back in 1987.

I guess GMCL could just be completely wrong in this case.

i believe it is - wouldn't surprise me, seeing as only a few of his soundtracks are listed there anyway. i went ahead and this up today - his band's myspace page gives the name "yasuhiko", so i guess that can be considered a case-closed.

Blitz Lunar added his Twitter account, confirming that his name is Yasuhiko Fukuda. BeatNut's MySpace already confirmed the correct reading like Lunar said, btw. I've changed all the credits for Yasuhiko based on these sources. In all he was credited with the original kanji name.

now the only thing that remains a mystery is how 'Hirohiko' came about in the first place, whether it was a translation error or it was intentional on his part.
anyway, i've re-added "Hirohiko Fukuda" as an alias so that it'll still direct to the profile when searched.

However, I'd better add a statement in the Notes field explaining this until we find an album or game where he is credited as Haruhiko Fukuda (only if it exists).

he's actually credited as Hirohiko sometimes.
K.O. Beast anime - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv7RCNEhyhM Tengai Makyou II - http://www.mobygames.com/game/tengai...-ii-manjimaru- (haven't seen the credits to confirm.) I think he's credited as Hirohiko for Emerald Dragon too, though I can't find proof of that at the moment. also he's credited as Yasuhiko Hukuda for Download, though i assume that's just a typo :B

Wow, I didn't know that. Even a typo, he is credited as Yasuhiko Hukuda, so I'll add this name too.

oh my lord i am all sorts of confused again. just when i thought we'd settled this.
i recently bought a PLG100DX daughterboard, which then led me on to download the user manual for the later PLG150DX model (probably a temporary link.) the daughterboards come with some demo songs on their CD-ROMs, though the PLG150 model has a couple of extra songs that the PLG100 model doesn't. anyway, enough blab, this is what's in the PLG150 PDF: Quote:
