FYI, I added a new set of album covers to replace the existing set. The old set had some issues with blurry images (especially the back cover) and mismatched pages. This new set fixes that. I don't have a new scan of the disc itself, but that image is fine as is.

I don't see any English on those sites, so I don't quite follow the rationale for the changes to the display title.
Why the macrons in 'Daichi no Hōkō'? Is 'Daichi no Hōkō' part of the game title? If not, it is eligible for using a translation over romaji in the display title, though it's up to discretion. |

Well, we've never used macrons unless they were part of the official title (like Okami). (Though I'm sure you could find some examples were we have macrons.)

Btw, is "Wander and the Colossus" officially used somewhere? We know Colossus is the official English name of 巨像, but I think replacing "Kyozou" by "Colossus" is akin to translating the title.

The titles in this case are a bit weird though.
- the obi and back spines just say "Wanda to Kyozo Daichi no Hoko" - the front and back seem to use "Wanda to Kyozo Daichi no Hoko Original Soundtrack" - the official sites use "Wanda to Kyozo Original Soundtrack Daichi no Hoko", as does the obi front. - the booklet does have "development staff of 'WANDER AND THE COLOSSUS'", though how official that is could be up to debate. |

Out of curiosity, should the applicable English titles be changed to match those used in last year's vinyl release? Most of the titles are similar to that of the current ones with some minor alterations here and there.
I'm uncertain if they're actually more accurate to the Japanese titles or not, though a few make much more sense grammatically like "Ritual's Conclusion" as opposed to "Demise of the Ritual." Last edited by BlazingAbyss; Sep 30, 2019 at 11:01 PM. |

In regards to the "English (Official)" tracklist listed for this albulm, I just wanted to mention that tracks 36-42 aren't featured on the vinyl from which these titles were taken. However, 42 is simply a reprise of track 18 and "(Reprise)" is written in English on the original Japanese title. While I can't speak for tracks 36, 38 & 41 as there's no English source for what these titles would be translated as (even if they are pretty straight forward,) there might be a source which could be seen as official in regards to 37, 39 & 40. Apparently these particular tracks are listed in the game's debug menu as "desert_19," "swamp_25" & "anger_27" which unless I'm mistaken should be acceptable ways of translating "荒野," "湿原" & "怒り" respectively. However, I should mention that to my knowledge there are no areas labeled as being a "swamp" in the final game, there is an area called the "Dried Marsh" and "marsh" is also a viable translation for "湿原." Granted, it could have also been intended for a swamp area that was never featured in the final product too.
As for 36, 38 & 41 there debug titles are apparently "save_point_05" "volcano_24" & "battle_15." As mentioned in the notes track 36 was used for the extra contents in the PAL release, but judging by the filename it seems that it was originally intended to be heard when you were saving. With that said "記憶" is likely in reference to how you'd be creating a save point/memory/memories of your progress so far. Though I'm not sure if "memory" or "memories" would be more appropriate in the context, though I think I lean more towards the latter. 38 was presumably meant to play when entering a volcano area (perhaps "voice of the earth" is in reference to the sound of an erupting volcano?) Judging by the title on the soundtrack, 41 was likely originally meant to play during the last playable segment of the game instead of Ritual's Conclusion. I think I got the rest from JASRAC which could have been updated with English titles for the release of the remake. My guess is all of the tracks received official titles but these few didn't end up on vinyl for whatever reason.
JASRAC titles are identical to vinyl ones, including the atypical "Silence -Battle Against the Colossus-" (other similarly named tracks use Battle with the Colossus) Spoiler:
Edit I forgot JASRAC links expire, work codes instead: Spoiler:
