What is the evidence that Hitoshi Sakimoto composed for this? I've never seen it mentioned before and the game / album is not on Sakimoto's official sites. Anyone know more?

in fact, there doesn't seem to be any evidence that any of the listed composers worked on the album aside from Yoh Ohyama, who is listed on JGML as the composer for the game. The information apparently came from GMR, but there's no clue about the origin. We're going to need someone who has the album to take a look in the liner notes and see if there are any credits.

According to http://game14.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/.../1159261533/24 he is mentioned in the game's credits. That's also where snesmusic.org takes their composer info from.
Furthermore, arrangements were done by Hitoshi Sakimoto, Tenpei Sato and Naoto Niida. |

Does the soundtrack contain the all of the music from the game? If not, we don't really know if he was involved with any of the tracks on the album, but then again, we don't know that about any of them. It's probably ok to leave him there for now until we get the liner notes.

Two+ years later..
I asked Sakimoto about this via Twitter and he replied "i was just involved in arrangement and translation for GDLeen music of PC-8801SR ver. i never have heard SFC ver." The PC-88 game he's referring to isn't actually called GDLeen, but it's part of the GDLeen "series" or something, it's called Digan no Maseki (Stone of Deigan). I removed his name from this album since it's the soundtrack to the SFC game and has nothing to do with the PC-88 game that he arranged. |

OK, those results are consistent with everything. Thanks for the research, Mike!

Actually no, this album contains the music to the PC-88 version, not Super Famicom. I have the album and will check the credits later when I get the chance. But this page needs to be updated.

Track titles I noticed are different on the reprint:
06 時の扉を越えて~ガヴァナー神殿 14 ルーナ〜太陽の神殿 16 無限の闇を巡る〜ダンジョン I don't know if they were actually changed/updated on the reprint or if the tracklist on this entry is just wrong (I'd assume the latter) |
