Not sure about the number of CDs - I'm setting it at 3 based on the price. I'd assume 2 CDs for the TV anime soundtrack + 1 CD for the movie soundtracks.
While the music for the movies was recorded in Russia, Oshima recorded the music for the TV anime in Boston, Paris, and Tokyo. Edit: 4 CD(!) confirmed. Last edited by cal; May 27, 2017 at 07:44 AM. |

Here's some credits:
Spoiler:
These still need to be added Chorus members: http://i.imgur.com/hpVolmc.jpg Theme song credits: http://i.imgur.com/ZYEyyMn.jpg And I'm guessing the engineer 岸本和樹 is somehow a typo of Hiroyuki Kishimoto. Last edited by cal; Jul 21, 2017 at 04:36 AM. |

will that ugly fugliness about album title cease one day?
seriously LWA ost, sounds like music you could hear in some lowcost airplane forced to check the page to see it's Little Witch Academia it's like some other albums that use that sort of *censored*, forced to check everytimes from a search result page, it's annoying |

I mean, it's printed that way on the booklet front, discs, spine, and back. It is how it is.

I'd be curious to see one only shop on internet using LWA ost
you didn't get my point man, that shit about using what is mainly used on stuff really pisses me off you can't guess from LWA or other titles used in other albums what it is, logic would want that something more visible and sensical should be used as display instead of that idiocy (but common sense and vgmdb staff = 2) |

I get your point but VGMdb is a database, not a shop. The title may not be pretty, but it is the title.

Talking about that, how come those pretty scans you got there aren't in the site?
And if it's a database how come sometimes when someone wants to add better quality scans, they don't let him? Good quality scans are also for archival and database reasons o: |

Scans are used to provide and verify metadata. If some 300dpi scans already do this, there is no need to replace them with 600dpi scans.

As for the first question - these are privately shared scans so I unfortunately do not have permission to upload them here.

I personally LOVE scans and think they're perfect for archival, too. But I guess I can't do anything about it. Perhaps in a far away future, my idea with scans will become a thing. :P

I think you misunderstand something here. VGMdb doesn't provide archival, we just collect and index metadata here.

Touched up the tracklist a tiny, tiny bit. Didn't see it was from any official source.
Disc 1, M5 --> Changed to "An Ordinary Day at" instead of "The Usual". Disc 1, M9 --> Changed to "Pinch!" to match the katakana, even though there's nothing really wrong with Crisis (same meaning). Disc 1, M11 --> Everyday changed to "Every Day". Everyday is not the same meaning as Every Day, and leaving it Everyday means it's the same meaning as M5 Disc 1, M27 --> Changed "Tension" to "Nervousness", this particular kanji is a Tension of the mind/emotion. Disc 1, M37 --> Changed formatting Disc 2, M13 --> Changed "Imminence" to "Tension", this particular kanji is as physical kind of tension. Disc 3, M8 --> Fixed formatting |

Yeah, it's not official. My translation.
For ピンチ, if you'd prefer to stay closer to the kana then I'd use "In a Pinch!". Just "Pinch" doesn't really work in English because it has numerous meanings. That's why I just used "Crisis" instead. Everything else is fine. Thanks for checking over it. |

That works. I usually try to keep katakana the same but it's really the same meaning either way. Just preference.
Here are the Tokyo credits. I will need someone to review these because I think I transcribed them correctly but I could not find quite a few of them. Added what I have. I'll do the instrument credits on the op/ed vocals a bit later.

Added the rest, they were all already done on the singles pages anyway.

It looks a lot to me like the booklet made a mistake on pages 11-12, at the part where it says "Violin II: Principal Shaoqing Xu".
As if it meant to say "Violin II Principal: Shaoqing Xu" instead, or something (especially considering that like the other ones it's right on top of the rest of the "Violin II" credits). |
