Anyone know where to find this? I've always wanted to purchase this soundtrack.

Well, there's a copy for sale on YJA right now. It's quite expensive though...

http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k161795471

thought about bidding on it myself for a sec for that price but then I saw this thread and you wanting it probably more, so here's the link. 300Y currently, pretty nice (scratchfree + band).

When hunting game music, some days you win and some days you lose. Today - I won. As an example, when I found Famicle Parodic 2, I lost (it sucks). Burning Soldier is as good as it gets. It makes all the money and time I spent hunting worth it, even though some of the albums I found were losers.

Seems like it was luck when I bought this a couple of days ago from YJA, only for 300yen.

Since fbtrav3 didn't seem to be around anymore I had the intention to sniper bid on it. Later I saw a bid from cha***** (Chaos Japan / SMJ) and was 99% certain, after pasting the link here, it's from someone I know, or at least VGMdb. I cancelled the sniper bid.

Just realized that I didn't even follow the direct YJA link you posted in this thread earlier, Zethe. The way I got to this album is kinda backwards. After noticing this thread in a discussion forum I was like: hey what's this Burning Soldier? Went to watch Classic Game Room's review on youtube and realized that it's another game by Genki who did Kileak 1&2 and Beltlogger 9, which are kinda similar in terms of 90s horror sci-fi mecha atmosphere. I like that stuff. And since I already own OSTs for the mentioned games, figured might as well get this one for Burning Soldier. And then went looking for it on YJA. There you go.

Either way, thanks for aborting the "operation sniper bid"

Added 'PC' to platforms represented. Burning Soldier came out for 3DO in 1994 and was ported to Windows95 in 1998, as Japanese exclusive.
3DO version: http://www.suruga-ya.jp/database/168000033001.html
PC version: http://www.suruga-ya.jp/database/145018090001.html

Looks like this type of ports were performed on other games in Japan, for example Tetsujin Returns for 3DO. Too bad that one didn't have an official OST btw.

MiLO, that's astonishing. I saw that auction for 300 yen. I paid 3200 for mine and thought that was a good deal, but you probably set a record for lowest price paid.

We can set a new record. How about I'll sell it to you for 250yen, that way you'll be a new record holder. Just kidding~

These exact versions of "Jungle Space" and "Theme of Strike Fighter" can also be heard in Wangan Dead Heat and on it's respective release. Odd how they were rehashed...

Wangan Dead Heat has some tracks from Burning Soldier and Scramble Cobra. Pinball Graffiti has at least one track from Burning and Wangan.

While making the title all caps as the cover and spines render it, I removed PC as a platform since it came out years after the original 3DO version.

Must also be noted that the two "arrange versions" aren't really that but more like complete versions. A saxophone was added to "Summer Leads The Way", the rest of the track remains the same in every other way. Wonder why they didn't just have the superior "arrange" mixes in the game?
