For those interested in seeing this AMAZING band (I saw them last January, one of the best live experiences in my life), they will be playing a show at PAX 09.

The lineup includes the same cool dudes that graced the Magfest stage back in January:

Stemage - guitar - stemage.com
Chunkstyle - bass - dan-taylor.net
Danimal Cannon - guitar - Arm Cannon - WeaponEx
Kirby Pufocia - guitar - Temp Sound Solutions
Kevin Lawrence - drums - God
They will release a studio cd at the show exclusively before releasing it on their website later.

OMFG I'm pissed. There's no way in hell I can get to PAX this year, and I've ALWAYS wanted to see Metroid Metal perform live. They're so awesome, it hurts.

A comic strip gets a whole three-day convention?

Anyway, are you sure about the price of "free"? My guess is it should still be "unknown."

EDIT - Not sure what the story was on the tracklist that was submitted, and then all the names were removed. I deleted it for now.

Tracklist verified.

By the way, we have an exclusive here! Notice the release date? =]

Stemage said that I am allowed to put five of the tracks up for listening. We've decided to make it a "game" of sorts, since there is no way to make only specific tracks of an album requestable at present. People will have to guess which tracks are available which could potentially cause a little bit of frustration but we hope everyone sees it as fun instead.

Eventually, the entire CD will be available anyway.

Additionally, the radio keeps track of the most recently requested tracks, so people will need to request tracks other than the Varia Suite once the tracks have been aired so they will get pushed out of that list and be requestable again.

I just got a copy for review myself.

Most likely will get my doujin album of the year award. Unless C77 sneaks something amazing up within the last days of the year

Stemage gave me the album. It's good, but I'm not noticing a big difference between these versions and the versions on MetroidMetal.com. I was hoping there would be more variation.

Should Kouichi Kyuma & Akira Fujiwara be credited as composers?

Both are credited for Metroid Prime & Fusion Original Soundtracks.

According to the album info, it says this:

METROID PRIME Music

Kenji Yamamoto (NINTENDO)
Kouichi Kyuma (NINTENDO)

Since Metroid Prime music was arranged, Kouichi Kyuma could be credited, but there was no Metroid Fusion music arranged, so Akira Fujiwara should not be credited.

i find the art work worrying. an all seeing eye with a pyramid and avian reptiles and it's metal music. the upside down pyramid is a bit odd. don't know what that should mean. very strange none the less for a vgm, let alone metroid.
