There were encores but they don't appear to be included on this album.

Unfortunately, a release is unlikely to ever happen due to licensing issues and high costs: https://twitter.com/merregnon/status...80056646586368

The FFVIII suite on this album is from Final Symphony II and it's probably the only piece we'll be able to hear.

Damn, that's really a shame. I was at the concert at the Barbican Hall and especially the FFXIII arrangement left a big impression on me -- was really hoping for a proper release.

Concerning Mono no Aware, if I remember correctly that one surfaced rather quickly. I think KonserthusetPlay had the complete track.

EDIT: Still up on Youtube: Nobuo Uematsu - FINAL FANTASY VIII - Mono no Aware

What baffles me is that, even though it's just SQEX material, there are licensing issues. So far I had the impression that SQEX was safe ground with respect to licensing.

Oh that's such a shame to hear. But maybe they can continue to release it in parts like they have for "Mono no Aware" with future concerts. I certainly didn't expect Symphonic Memories to get a release, so maybe it is possible.

I added it to the links.

So it looks like the encores are included then, even though it's not listed on the main website.

Thanks. Asking because sometimes i see "TGS" items here but later they can be purchased elsewhere.

Also i won a signed edition from this TGS event and would like to know if they are usually sealed or not ? It's not very important but i am a curious person

Might it be worth adding Yoshitaka Suzuki to composer credits for the Wanderlust segment in FFXV?

I was thinking the same. I can't believe he was omitted.

There's a lot of rumours online that there are licensing issues with "Eyes On Me". The fact that there was a Japanese vinyl release of the song by Universal Music (who now owns the EMI label) in 2017, seemingly with no association to Square Enix whatsoever, would lend credence to that theory.

Question is, how then could numerous Square Enix albums, such as this album, include the song over the years?

According to the JASRAC, Square Enix is co-credited as the rightholder for the song (alongside Kako Someya for the lyrics and Uematsu for the composition). The publisher is Solid Game Music Division (ソリッドゲームミュージック事業部).

Hm, I think it might be possible that JASRAC doesn't tell the whole story here. Looking into it a bit more, the Faye Wong versions of the song were excised from some versions of the game.

The Japanese Steam release changed "Eyes On Me" in the Ragnarok scene to "Trust Me" and part of the "Ending Theme" to "Love Grows". The remaster seems to have restored both. There's rants about this and also discussions about digital albums missing the song. Can't tell about the other digital ports of the game.

Anyway, it can't be the rights issue keeping Final Symphony II from being released since, well, no Faye Wong to be seen.

The album just got a digital release, so I added it to the links. Does anything else need to be done?
