Based on Club Nintendo releases from the last couple of years, a breakdown is pretty unlikely. ;_;

If you're only after what Kondo wrote, though, he was interviewed!

Thanks for the link!

"Koji Kondo: I worked on two tracks for the athletic and seaside courses."

Wow. More than 1 track?? At least Kondo made some new music, but we'll see a 'solo' work from him in the future??

I agree with Guitarist500, we could have an album combining the two games, would be awesome!

There's always the next Wii U 3D Mario, whenever it drops. 3D World isn't a "real" console Mario game, IMO, because it began development as a portable title.

Er.. I don't think so. They didn't develop it as a portable game. It was not developed from the same engine as Super Mario 3D Land. It was completely made from a 'new' engine.

The game was based on multiplayer features that were cut from 3D Land.

It certainly is a real Wii U 3D Mario title. Maybe the ideas started with 3D Land, but this game is so polished, feels like SMG in so many ways, and the high-definition graphics are gorgeous.

Since someone is trying to edit the date...

I put December as the release date because it seems to me that Club Nintendo doesn't start shipping these things until 2-3 weeks after they start taking orders. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I put 21 November as this is when the OST is actually released. Last time I checked "release date" does not refer to when a product is "shipped".

Release date is the date in which it is made available not when you happen to physically own the copy.

but if what nextday says is true, then the ost isn't available at all until Nintendo begins to ship them out, right? although I do think the release date should be Nov 21.

I'll use the recent Luigi album for example: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/luigi/sound/index.html

They were more specific here and provided two dates, one for when they started taking orders and one for when they started shipping. I considered the latter date to be the release date. The recent Wind Waker album started taking orders in late September but it was around a month before anyone received their copy because it took Nintendo around 3 weeks to start shipping anything.

If Nintendo isn't shipping something to anyone on the release date then how can that something be considered released?

I consider "release date" to be the date in which ordering or purchasing can be made, not necessarily the date in which you receive the product.

Anyone know of a place that is allowing orders for this (not everyone can have a Japan Club Nintendo account).

eBay or secondary market is your only option. You can't just order it.

They will come down, just wait. That's just first list gouging. They're going to be just as common as all the other Nintendo point albums.

I'm seeing some YJA listings at around the same price, I'm going to sit for this one till next year.

For those that have played the game, is the music comparable to SUPER MARIO™ 64 / GALAXY®'s standards (In terms of worthyness)?

That was my initial thought when the game was introduced ("oh God, not another New Super Mario Bros. type deal/sequel"), but after seeing more gameplay footage over the past few months, this game looks like it's really shaping up. It looks super fun and even better than Galaxy, but I suppose we shall wait and see.

Also, the snow level theme :-O

I came in possession of a Wii U a few months ago (yay for random raffles...I'm the guy with long hair holding the system):

http://www.j1studios.com/what-went-on-at-j1-con-2/

And that caused my interest in this game to go skyhigh, since I didn't have to actually buy the system. I feel like they are keeping an eye on the 2D history of mario as they flesh out the 3D part. I felt like the other 3D Marios are too far removed what I liked about oldschool Mario.

Music-wise, I found Galaxy 2's OST very enjoyable, so I'm looking forward to hearing this one.

After hearing the music in the game itself... I'm going to love this OST.

The 'Mount Must Dash' stage, which features the music of first course of Super Mario Kart.

Changed release date based on info on the website. The points campaign begins in November, the CD itself isn't actually available until 1/31.

Are you SURE it's not released until 1/31?

The translations according to Google is:
"Preferential exchange November 21, 2013 exchange point accepted start date until January 31, 2014", for the red banner at the top of the gold area.

And the translation of the text below the 500 -> 250 part is:
"When you point to register on the club Nintendo Wii U software "Super Mario 3D World", (until January 31, 2014) that can be replaced with "250 points" soundtrack CD."

I interpreted both these NOT to mean that "The soundtrack is not released until January 31, 2014", BUT to mean "If you register between November 21 and January 31, it will only cost 250 stars, as opposed to 500 stars".

Everything I've seen so far has pointed to it not being released until 1/31. All Y!J auctions, all eBay auctions have said that they won't ship until they receive the item at the end of January. I also haven't seen (or heard) of anyone with the physical product (which we should have seen at this point), nor have I seen any digital/ripped copies. If anyone has any evidence to the contrary we can change it.
