Hey, Dag found Seya's name in Japanese, which is pretty cool since it doesn't really seem like anyone knows this.
Here's the slide deck from a presentation he gave last year: http://www.slideshare.net/seya128/20120204. Some biographical info: - 42 years old when the presentation was given. It's dated 2011-12-09, so birth year is probably 1969 but it could be 1968.
- Father of twin boys in high school. :3
- Employed part-time by Sunsoft at age 18; was a sound engineer who worked on arcade, NES, Genesis, TG-16, Game Boy, etc. titles.
- At age 22, joined Prism Kikaku (the precursor to Nippon Ichi) when it was founded. Worked as a sound engineer and main programmer for SNES.
- At age 25, Prism Kikaku became Nippon Ichi. Worked as a main programmer for PSX and worked on internal dev tools.
- Went freelance at age 30. Did pachinko and pachislot LCD programming.
- Joined DORASU as a development supervisor at age 36, which is where he still works today. Has worked on PS2, PS3, PSP, DS, 3DS, PC, and mobile phones.
