97 songs and the total length barely scraps 70 minutes? Jesus this looks like something you'd see in a video game rip not a anime soundtrack!

Or a movie soundtrack, which this is.

It's also like the 17th movie in the series so the guy is probably tired of it by now.

I don't think i've ever seen any recent anime movies with this lengthy kind of tracklist though. It's like there are a bunch of short stinger tracks placed all over the movie with very few ever reaching the 1 minute mark. It might work for the movie but listening to it on it's own is a chore since you are basically just cycling through a bunch of 30 second cues.

As you said though given that the guy has been composing for the series for a good 18ish years I think he's run out of ideas of what to write for the show. I'm surprised he's lasted this long honestly.

Him and Shinji Miyazaki must be blood brothers lol.

Conan movie soundtracks started out with 30-40 or so tracks, but over the past 5 or so years, they've moved towards more lengthy tracklists with shorter music cues. it's been a trend if you go back and see - i believe all the previous movie soundtracks are listed here on VGMdb. i think this one has the most so far though of any of the movie soundtracks.
