Where did all these people come from?!

Well, they've grown quite a bit, so I guess we should update accordingly. Yasuyuki Yamazaki, Kenichi Tendo, and Yoshihei Ueda don't have artist pages yet.

Masahiro Aoki and Yasumasa Yamada both have artist pages, but are not technically part of the company.

Many updates.

Yoshino Aoki talks about a special limited edition Merc Storia collection that includes artwork and a soundtrack. She created 26 tracks in all. Sadly it seems we'll never see a commercial release.

Unique Note handled the music (in part?) for Another God Hades, a Pachinko/Pachislot game (I don't know the difference). A digital soundtrack is available. There are some classical arrangements as well: you can hear Aoki beautifully singing Ave Maria on track 16.

Unique Note also took care of a large part of the music and sound for Monster Hunter Online. Chances are Shibata is heading this one up. Speaking of Shibata, he did some arrangements for Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U.

The company also did music composition for this and this.

It's unfortunate to see nearly all of Unique Note's projects unavailable because the games themselves aren't popular enough to warrant (in publishers' eyes) soundtrack releases.

In early November, Unique Note flew to Abbey Road Studios to record music for a secret project. Tetsuya Shibata, Yuko Komiyama, and Masahiro Aoki all contributed music for the project.

Natsumi Kameoka was in charge of the orchestra arrangement. They had two recording sessions totaling 8 hours. Alastair King conducted the Chamber Orchestra of London.

Text credits for when this is inevitably released:

Unique Note hired 2 new composers in March: Ryo Furukawa and Kenji Yagawa. The company added pages for them today. Yoshihei Ueda has seemingly left the company.

What's interesting here is that both Yagawa and Furukawa specialize in orchestral music. I guess Unique Note wanted to hire some in-house orchestrators for their future projects.

You can listen to some of Yagawa's works here: https://soundcloud.com/ygwa823
And some of Furukawa's works here: https://soundcloud.com/papospapos

Edit: Masahiro Aoki is no longer listed as a support member. He seems to left to join Tom-H@ck's new company TaWaRa: http://www.ta-wa-ra.com/masahiro-godspeed-aoki

Edit2: Kenji Yagawa seems to have left the company after only 1 year. Maybe Kenichi Tendo too - he's still listed on the website but his page gives a 404 error. Tendo's page has been fixed.

Jun Okubo and Kenichi Tendo are no longer listed on the website: http://unique-note.co.jp/creator/

They must have left sometime earlier this year (maybe at the end of the fiscal year).

2 new hires, the first since 2016:
- Shoya Kitagawa
- Ren Tsukagoshi

Also, there was also a Merc Storia orchestra concert held earlier this year. Shibata and Aoki attended as guest speakers.

Souhei Kano, Tomomichi Takeoka, and Megumi Tagawa were the arrangers. No word on whether there will be a CD.
