Nothing surprising there.

I'm surprised a standalone CD hasn't been announced yet. Makes me worried that there might not be one...

I really hope Rei Kondoh comes back to fill in the rest of the score. His synth tracks were the standouts from the last OST IMO.

There should be, Joe Hisaishi is a known composer, and always sells lot! I personally am interested in the Trialer music for the E3 2015 trailer, it's fantastic.

He actually has quite a bit of unreleased music: https://hibikihajime.com/discography...ch/unreleased/

There is sadly no tracklist for this in or on the CE. I'll have to rip the Bluray to see if it's on there or not. From the Vinyl that was released with the Kings or Revenant edition or whatever that was called, per the discogs tracklist and times listed for it, I can only assume that M1 is "Theme from Ni no Kuni II" and M2 is "The Curious Boy" but that's all I have thus far. There are 4 tracks total on the disc.

Some guy is uploading the OST and the sound is way too clean and almost "CD-like" to come from a gamerip. Tracks are looped, however, might mean it was manual or a gamerip.

Yeah, after doing my own gamerip I can confirm it's definitely a gamerip.. maybe? All I know is that the PC BGM files sound just as good (they're actually lossless kinda) and that they're looped two times just like in the videos.

The game itself (in PS4 probably too though I haven't checked) says it uses DTS-HD for the sound asides from Dolby Audio. The game has 5.1 audio in PC too, and the music files (in .HCA) are actually 6ch, and kinda lossless, because they're 48hz and go up 700 kbps.

FYI staff roll says additional music by Kenichiro Saigo and based on some of the music in the game I’m fairly certain Hisaishi didn’t write everything.

He didn't in the original either, so it's hardly surprising.

Kenichiro Saigo's music might be the synth stuff? Who knows? Perhaps JASRAC can help us.. or a CD release if it happens.

If it's anything like the original game, if this game gets a full soundtrack, then most likely the music not included would be Saigo's.
