I'm honestly starting to think that this guy is akiropito.
Comparing what akiropito has hosted on his "BGM HP" and Tomoya Tomita's works, it looks kinda convincing to me. Also, Divine Bloodlines (which we now know is composed by akiropito) appears first in Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo for PCE, where they credit "akiropito". But in Castlevania: Dracula X for SNES (where Divine Bloodlines is also used), they don't credit "akiropito", but someone named "T.Tomita". Maybe not so convincing, but looking at the other credited composers, I'd say Tomoya Tomita comes closest (akiropito is also known as Tochiro). I've also compared track 11 on "Pop'n TWINBEE GRAFFITI" with the "Twin bee medley" track that akiropito hosts on his page, and they sound pretty alike (I'm not so familiar with TwinBee music, so I could be wrong, though). What do you guys think? |

Nope. Akiropito left Konami and now works as a gyoseishoshi lawyer or a judicial scrivener. He's at least self-employed as his twitter profile says. Tomita is employed by Good Feel and has worked on the recently released Kirby's Epic Yarn. So not the same person.

Oh. Thanks for the information... I need to do some better research before I get my hopes up.

Tomita has uploaded remastered versions of songs he composed for Wario Land Shake It / Kirby's Epic Yarn / Yoshi's Wooly World to his own YouTube account.
By the way, he also says that this year he has freelanced from Good-Feel. |

Nice, so all the remaining songs from Wooly World should be Misaki Asada's.

I'm not 100% sure that his uploads are his complete works for each game, since Epic Yarn is missing like 15 original tunes and the Iwata Asks interview with Ishikawa and Ando suggests they did little, if any, music besides the final world stuff.
I like this unused tune from Woolly World a lot, esp. starting at 1:08: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XFpnHPoOvA |

True, but at least we can say for sure these are all his pieces, which is more than we can say for tons of other games.

Yeah! He did all my faves from Woolly World and Shake It, as it turns out.
I tried to ask him a quick Q on Twitter but... it looks like he only uses his account to retweet any mention of Epic Yarn's music haha |

Oh yeah, good call.
I just wanted to know if he'd played the bass himself in Yoshi's Woolly World, and he said it was all sequenced. Which is pretty impressive, stuff like "A-Mazing Post Pounding" sounds really really good! Quote:

Even though he was able to put all the remastered tracks on YouTube, he says Nintendo still owns the rights and he isn't able to officially release them as a soundtrack.
That kinda sucks. I'm sure he would like to release his music. Edit: Since his website has been deleted too, here's a copy of his works list: Quote:

EDIT: Well, since he changed his site his playlists are not available at all. Fortunately I kept lists with all of the songs that were included there, so for further reference I'll leave those here: Wario Land: Shake It!:
Kirby's Epic Yarn:
Yoshi's Woolly World:
Also, links to his unused songs from Yoshi's Woolly World (hoping they don't get taken down as well!): 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr19JYeKGr4 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMEY5WRR9GU 3 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZBs0RFWg9I 4 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45ng_u3Pm14 5 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0GOhwkYIHM 6 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XFpnHPoOvA Last edited by RBM95; Oct 24, 2017 at 02:52 PM. |

Archiving more Tomoya Tomita uploads, in case he ends up having to pull these too:
(added 2021-02-08: Quarth) (added 2020-10-23: Animaniacs) (original post: Contra Force, TMNT3, Zen) Animaniacs SNES:
Contra Force:
Quarth MSX:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project:
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja:
He also has a few demo reel videos on his channel ("Latin Music Compilation," etc.) that include VGM; I don't know if there's anything hidden in those that we don't already know. Last edited by CHz; Feb 8, 2021 at 03:15 AM. |
