I finally deleted the tracklist i submitted myself, because i am not sure if it was the good one.

Seems like there are many versions of these books.
For Guitar, and also For Piano..etc.

Price & Release date are also uncertain i think.

I think the correct tracklist is this one (it even provides the composer breakdown!!), but I could be wrong.

I changed the price to 3045 yen because the majority said it was the post-tax price. Not sure about the release date, but it seems to be June 15.

Is this available for purchase anywhere for those who live outside of Japan?

I recently received this one and the Zelda Guitar book-- http://vgmdb.net/album/19867

If someone could provide English translations and type the Japanese track list into the album's page I can provide times for each track on the CDs, as well as scans of the front and back covers. The back covers for this and the Zelda guitar book also have a track list with a breakdown of specific game titles for each track title. Any help getting correct track list information would be appreciated by myself and many others on this site

Also, Since there is only an official track list for each book in Japanese should the English track list contain the name of the game in parentheses with each title (e. g. "Field BGM (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past)"?)

I found English translations for each at two current Ebay auctions: http://cgi.ebay.com/Legend-Zelda-pia...item41526a35f4 and http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Mario-Seri...item41526a2455 . The track list for the Super Mario book is only accurate until track 9-- Track 10 I think is improperly titled as 'ending,' and this offsets the rest of the track names so that they are incorrect.

Also, The Super Mario guitar book has the same catalog # as its ISBN-13, so based on this I submitted the catalog number of the Zelda guitar book with its ISBN-13. However, there are two other codes on the back cover of each one:

Mario: C0073
Zelda C0073

Although I don't play guitar myself, I am enjoying these simple covers of these always classic tunes. It's great to load them up in Winamp with Final Fantasy Guitar Collections and the various FF Piano Collections album... good stuff to listen to while trying to debug programming assignments :-).

I re-added the best tracklists for SMB & Zelda albums i could find so far.
But like i said on the first post, they could be inaccurate. (so check it out before adding the tracktimes)

If you can provide scans, that would defenitely help, we'll fix everything with them, and we'll add the tracktimes after that.
And for the English tracklist/translation, it should reflete the meaning & display of the printed Japanese tracklist.

Thanks for the discussion everyone. Below are links to the front and back covers for these titles.:

For the back covers track numbers are not specified, although I don't know why they would not be listed sequentially. English translations would be great. I'll provide track times once I know for sure which numbers are which track titles.

Thanks for the scans, i added them.
Just for the informations, you can upload any scan yourself to the database.
When you'r on an album page, choose "edit / manage covers".

Guitarist, I could send you scans of this after Christmas when I get back from New Zealand...

... and in saying that I hope I'm not breaking any sort of VGMDB rules against sharing scans of album art or book pages. I know the admins here are getting stricter about policing file sharing for the music, so I do apologize if they don't want us discussing about sharing scans, although I think it is okay...

I don't think there's a problem with sharing scans since we host them too.
(so you'r free to upload them here, like this everyone can have a look at them)

actually, this is already known; she wrote the whole soundtrack. Bando did sound effects.

still awaiting SEMO's interview so that it's in plain english, though.

Interview's still being conducted, but Soyo has been very busy lately and hasn't quite completed her answers yet.

Cool, didn't know that. Thanks for the source!
no problem. it does still need more clarification though (i just assume Bando did sound effects because he didn't do music, but maybe there is more to it than that.) hope Oka finishes soon~

these credits are all great by the way. I'm now very interested in checking out NSMBW..

two points in favour of that:
- harmonically, it reminds me of the great sea from wind waker
- it references rainbow road from mario kart 64

so. fairly safe bet.

blast, the PDF links are dead. i wanted to check to see if there were any more songs from Mario Kart Wii contained in the mario book, although i'm pretty sure there aren't. currently, as far as i know, Rainbow Road is the only (new) song in the game that has been credited to either composer (Ota, who is supposed to have led the score, so I suspect most of the other music is hers too...)

interestingly, and as i mentioned in another thread, the mario wiki entry for Ryo Nagamatsu attributes some songs to him.

http://www.mariowiki.com/Ryo_Nagamatsu

i contacted the person that put up that information twice but received no reply each time (thus citation needed-bombed the page.) no idea where that information could come from, maybe it's completely bogus... i dunno.
