FYI, there seem to be two versions of this album, both labeled SVWC-7514~5 from Aniplex, Inc. The "original" release seems to feature a tri-fold design with a slipcase, which was previously scanned and included on the VGMdb page.

The version I received, however, is a double-width plastic jewel case. It has similar artwork, though arranged differently, different disc labels, and it's missing some pages from the booklet. This appears to be legit (you can see the catalog number and copyright info in the scans), and as far as I can tell it has the exact same catalog number as the release already in VGMdb, but the packaging and artwork are definitely quite distinct. Anyone know what's the deal?

I scanned and uploaded all of the artwork from this "new" packaging for anyone else that may want it. I labeled all of them them as "Alt ..." to avoid confusion with the original images.

The "original" release with the bells and whistles is the "first pressing" version, which has a limited print run. I'd presume that the one you obtained is the "regular" pressing.

Either way, thanks for the scans. Maybe to handle these scenarios in the future we should have the ability to split galleries into sections.

I just listened to this soundtrack again, and as for Blue Dragon a question shows up. The music was arranged by Henmi and Nakayama, that's known, but didn't Uematsu himself handle a few tracks himself? Many of the songs sound really Uematsu-ish, as for arrangement and synth quality. Has anyone more information about arranging roles?

It probably is like the role of an orchestrator. The harmonies and melodies are Uematsu's, definitely, but some of the touches in the instrumentation are better than his work usually is. There are tracks that have less work done on them and tracks that have more, but Uematsu's strength has always been melody, and NOT arrangement.

Alt Booklet 2 and 3 appear to be identical.

Even at 1:52 length, The Gun Barrel Battle is probably the best track on this. Neverending Journey and A Sign of Hope are great too. Wasn't a fan of the main story of the game besides the flashback segments, but those tracks always stood out to me.

I renamed a few scans to help be more descriptive of what they are. A couple things though.

- Alt Booklet 2 and Alt Booklet 3 are indeed duplicates, like Xenofan 29A mentioned. And unfortunately, rather than just being an accidental second upload, one of these images is replacing a unique set of pages from the booklet (we're missing two pages of content).
- It's not digipack, it's digipak. I'm pretty sure this error is universal across VGMdb though. I didn't change it here, but we might consider changing it in the future.

My apologies on the extreme tardiness of this update, but I just noticed the comments saying that two of the images I had uploaded were identical. I still have my original scans, so I renamed the Alt Booklet images and uploaded the correct p. 01-02 image. Sorry about that - don't know how I would've made that mistake initially.
