One might want to consider quite a few Star Wars-related video games use music which first "appeared" in the movies. (Couldn't resist )

At any rate, are there specific guidelines in regards to the kind of motion picture/animated/CG movie-albums which can be added to the database? If there are, maybe put a bigger notice about them in the Submit Album page?

Yeah, this really shouldn't be on the database.

I think the idea is to only accept movie albums if the composer involved is primarily a game/anime person. John Williams is most definitely not such a person.

It seems there never was a completely unified guideline on the "works" matter. However, it's enough for a composer to be "solid" nowadays to have some unrelated "works" album entries while the ones who are truly primarily in the db coverage fields can have any kind of non-related album here:

Mr. Williams has no games scored (directly) and has only one animated feature.

SW is a bit overrepresented these days, anyways. For me, the whole appeal of a vgm forum to is to give this true art form a place of its own to shine, rather than share the spotlight with another "bigger" star and somehow finding itself paling in comparison by virtue of being in the shadow of such a giant.
