CD-C95-861-1: Fallout 2 The Soundtrack

Hmm, how weird we never ever ever found any picture of that disc before (and information in general about a CD for fallout 2 soundtrack).

I'm not yelling out loud that it's fake... but if someone have more information about it, it would be nice.

Looks legit. It has visible matrix code and catalog number. Unofficial/fanmade cd artworks usually don't go that far.

The cat number is CD-C95-861-1
The game (Fallaout 2) had a catalog number CD-C95-861-2
I don't know if this is original edition from 1998 or some later re-edition. Didn't look into it yet. But since since cat number of OST CD is so similar to game CD, I would assume they came out at the same time.

So I think it's possible the Soundtrack CD was included with some editions (or certain copies) of the game.

Well on that 1st pic from Mobygames it says (c)1998 Interplay Productions.
So yeah I think it's launch day 1998 edition of the game. Same with soundtrack CD. It has a visible (c)1998 thing.
Layout and artwork is very similar to the 1st Fallout, so I think this CD had a similar fate of being included with certain copies of the game. (maybe with the very first batch print)

New disc picture was submitted today.
It reads "The Soundtrack" and not "The Soundtarck".

Covers are so similar, i persist this was and is fan-made.

In the name of devil's advocacy I insist that it's not fan-made. o_o No but for realz though, the covers do look identical (pixel for pixel), save for that grammatical error "soundtarck/soundtrack". It's as if the original picture had a misspelling error, and then someone took the liberty to photoshop it to make it look proper.
Can we ask the submitter of pictures what is the source of them? where were they obtained from? Discogs also has a <corrected> cover now.

I've asked the discogs submitter does he have the cd. His answer:

Someone has just uploaded that disc. Yes, it came from lossless source.

Yeah, took me 3 years to find a real scan of this CD (with the matrix ring as a proof), so i can finaly rest and say it was legit
Seems to be a rare CD in any case.
